anbuchelvan
If we lose to WI ,the egoistic captain Mr.Doomed does not deserve to touch the cup.Let him discuss with the seniors about strategy rather than following his instincts. Link to comment

pinkfreud
I love how England has made this WC so unpredictable. I enjoy watching them play, because you never know what to expect. That's a team that has done incredibly well in crunch situations and managed to forge wins whenever people thought they'd lose. From the looks of it, we could be playing just about any team in the quarters. You can't bank on any one squad to be thoroughly consistent considering all other teams in Group A have faltered in some way or the other. Pak is the undisputed champ of inconsistency (second only to England in this WC though), SL lost what should've been a relatively easy match against Pak, Aussie bowling has looked really rusty, and NZ suddenly came out with a bang after such a long lull. Even SA lost laughably against England, and they had to grit their teeth to the last minute to win against a lacklustre Indian performance. WI showed shades of dominance in the beginning yesterday, looks like Chris Gayle may just be raring to go in this WC :nervous: The quarters and semis are going to be way too thrilling :yay: all major test teams have been inconsistent, this WC is shaping up to be a better's nightmare :cantstop: Link to comment
Manny_Pacquiao
i highly doubt that SL will lose to NZ. so 2nd place is theirs. only question is over who finishes 1st. australia or pakistan. whoever loses that match will play india. Link to comment
Dooks
That's what I said, Ind vs Pak QF - not good. Link to comment

If Pak loses , Pak will be #4 behind NZ. They are very low on RR. Look at the SD chart. Link to comment

Ultimate_Game
BTW There is a small chance that SA might take a gamble and conveniently lose to BD in order to play NZ but that is highly risky. That approach may backfire coz if Pak beats Aus and Ind beats WI, Aus would be 3rd in Group A and SA 2nd team in group B and SA would never want to face Aus in a knockout - at least not so early in the tourney Link to comment
Shane
So its either NZ or Aus for us, that is we finish 2nd :D Link to comment
Sachin=GOD
Quarters mein koi bhi ho, koi farq nahi hai, bas Final mein India-Pakistan ho :yess: Link to comment
coffee_rules
There is a very big chance Aus will lose to Pak. If Pak bats first and put 250-260, Aus against spinners will collapse. If Pak gets to chase, Aus can defend any score of 220+. Link to comment
Zelig
The last time Australia lost in a world cup match was against Pakistan in 1999 :winky: Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
After the big loss for NZ against SL, won't NZ's NRR go below Pak's? If that happens Pak could be 3rd in Group A Link to comment
HowardRoark
After the big loss for NZ against SL' date=' won't NZ's NRR go below Pak's? If that happens Pak could be 3rd in Group A [/quote'] Assuming Pak's run rate is untouched by the Aus match? Edit: The match is over and there is no way Pak can catch up with NZ's runrate: New Zealand 6 4 2 0 0 8 +1.135 Pakistan 5 4 1 0 0 8 +0.729 If it wins, it will top the table anyway. Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
Assuming Pak's run rate is untouched by the Aus match? Don't bother... just saw the updated points table. NZ's NRR is still better than Pak's. So Pak will have to beat Aus to go on top and a loss will get them to no. 4 spot Link to comment
