Jersey #10 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 _Pa0iKLX7qE Mediocre bowling action to say the least. Even the Canadians would smash him for all that matters
Dravid Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 chidiya ka aavaz aa raha hai jab woh lefty 0 pe bowled hokey vapis pavilion jata haii
vpg0002 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 They should have tried him in one of the less significant games. Taking chances in big games is a big risk - but maybe worth the risk if all other options are tried out.
vaibhav_delhi Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Hope he's not another Sohail Tanveer . Pakistan desperately needs some good bowlers...
Pak_Forever Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Doubt he will get a game. Our bowlers have so far done decently well, apart from NZ match. Tylor just played once in a life time inning, there won't be such a repeat atleast in this tournament. I will stick with Gul, Akthar, Razzaq and would like to add one more Wahab.
Jersey #10 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 ^You must not have watched the Pak vs Nz game Tylor wouldn't have made even a 50 had it not been the pathetic Pakistani bowling. Even The dutch or the Irish players would have scored sixes off of those perfectly placed bouncers.

I think you missed our bowlers playing base-ball with their dead straight pitching :haha: It was a one off performance, there won't be such a repeat , and it was only during the last 5 overs, for 44-45 overs they bowled pretty well.
Anakin Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Poor kid will have nightmares once he bowls having kamran behind the stumps
jf1gp_1 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 _Pa0iKLX7qE forget the bowler what you need is the guy in slip who took that catch

RedFlow Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 It is hard not to have good bowling stat against Pakistan batsman isn't it :cantstop: Same applies to your batsmen. Exposed by Ireland and NED bowling.
Mariyam Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 He is in Pakistan squad but not yet been introduced even in less important matches like vs Kenya or Canada, what you guys think 1. Paksitan dont have much trust on him and dont want to use him at all? 2. Pakistan want to keep him un-exposed in group stage and want to use him as a secret weapon directly in QF. By the way his first class stats are quite impressive and an interesting fact, they are very much similar to Muhammad Aamer's. Aamer: 21.48 avg, 3.09 eco, 41.5 SR Junaid: 21.32 avg, 3.00 eco, 42.5 SR Who does he replace? Shoaib Akhtar or Umar Gul? Or a spinner?

Aamer: 21.48 avg, 3.09 eco, 41.5 SR Junaid: 21.32 avg, 3.00 eco, 42.5 SR I think Aamir's/Aamer's (actually don't know which is the correct spelling) stats are diluted by his test figures. Apparently he averaged something ridiculous like 17 in domestic 4 dayers. He is a huge miss to Pakistan, i think he would have gone on to challenge Steyn to become the best bowler in the world and may have even had the potential to overtake him. I went on the Pak Passion forum after his and the others suspension was handed out. A lot of them thought that Asif was the greater loss of the 2 bowlers. I did not agree with this as Aamir was so brilliant for his age.
saneindian Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Didn't an ex-Pak cricketer (Basit Ali or Rashid Latif) say that Junaid is a chucker. maybe thats the reason he isn't getting to play at all.
Karan114 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 And he wouldn't have even made 1 if it wasn't for Akmal. That doesn't excuse the utter tripe that Akhtar dished out in the closing overs. Full toss after full toss after full toss.

Asim Posted March 11, 2011 Author Posted March 11, 2011 Who does he replace? Shoaib Akhtar or Umar Gul? Or a spinner? Better to replace Shoaib Akhter...
Gotham Cronie Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 That doesn't excuse the utter tripe that Akhtar dished out in the closing overs. Full toss after full toss after full toss. Agreed. Afridi messed up by finishing Gul's overs early.
Mariyam Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Better to replace Shoaib Akhter... A rank outsider replacing one of the established seniors in the middle of the WC and being used as a secret weapon. Sounds very far fetched. Doesn't it? How much of an improvement is he over Akhtar? Don't you think your 'secret weapons' should be some stable opening batsmen and not another bowler. Your bowling is doing fine at the moment. If it ain't broke....
