He captained the team twice both time he was a faliure 1996 was the first time then in 1997 Azhar regained the captaincy and then again in 1999 he became captain won the O.D.I series against Kiwis then we were hammered in O.Z 3 nill whitewash in tri series we only won 1 match out of 8 then lost to ur side at home in test matc 2-0 then Ganguly became the captain. But he said in an interview to Ali Bacher that due to match fixing saga he didnt gave his best as skipper in Oz tour coz he couldnt concentrate well

Not good at all. He was captain in 1996 and 1999 for 73 matches but India lost 43 matches and won only 23 under his leadership. Didnt help that the rest of the team sucked during that time, and Sachin was also bogged down because of captaincy.

No matter whether SRT gives them a labotomy or not but the team must have a chat with Munaf. He gotta do something about his body language and that silly grin on his face. I mean look at Zaheer or any other fast bowler - they try to get on the nerves of batsmen - but then Munaf comes along. I am not saying that he needs to go all Sreesanth on the batsmen but is it too much to expect for him to at least to show some concern, aggression and fire when on the field? Even Harbhajan, who's a spinner, shows much more aggression than Munaf!

Whenever he strays out of this formula(which he often does), it will more likely be a 4 or a 6, for which Dhoni can only place fielders in the stands :--D

what has Dhoni done to be called as a champion?
