vvvslaxman Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Rizwan cheema :finger: . Here is how you play pace bowlers. Pakistanis were going ga ga over that cheema guy.
Switchblade Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Was it Cheema who got hit by Tait or was he bowled by Lee though regarding Patel he played well for his 50
ganeshran Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Cheema is a slogger, just like most batsman in the Pakistani side. They wont produce good batsman till they stop playing tape ball cricket and we wont produce phaasht bowlers till we start.
rkt.india Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 How they suck more on all pitches. I can never understand this. If we suck so much how did we end up number 2 in Ranking. How on the earth we beat SL many times in their own backyard. How did we won 2 ODIs in SA, where our so called batting collapsed many times. On Nagpur pitch, our trundlers gave 40 odd runs in first 10 overs, where great phaassssssssssssssssssssssssssst attack of Steyn and Morkel gave 87. Are yaar Steyn and Morkel were not bowling to Smith and Amla....How can you compare SRT and Viru to Smith and Amla? Indian batting right now is not the best for nothing. Kaha Raja bhoj aur kaha gangu teli. Its Indian batting that made those bowlers look ordinary though they had their moments in first 5-6 overs when Viru was a bit uncomfortable against Steyn with a catch dropped too, but still if this batting plays like they did on that day, they can tear apart any bowling attack especially on these pitches with minimum movement and less bounce. If we had two bowlers like Morkel and Styen, this WC could have become one team show. Imagine the bowling line that consist ZAK, Steyn, Morkel, and Harbhajan...no respite
Sir john Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 i find cheema a tired man. all indian players give there 150 % for canada team but i doubt over pak players contribution.
Sir john Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Ponting compares Hiral Patel's batting style with Sehwag As Hiral Patel smashed the likes of Brett Lee and Shaun Tait to all corners of the Chinnaswamy Stadium during a World Cup match here, Australian captain Ricky Ponting said the Canadian batsman reminded him of Indian swashbuckler Virender Sehwag. Patel's blazing 45-ball 54-run innings had the Australians on the backfoot before the defending champions regrouped to skittle out the Canadians for 211 and chase the total with ease. "He plays a lot like him (Sehwag)," Ponting said after his team's seven-wicket win over the North Americans in a group A match here on Wednesday night. Ponting felt it would be difficult for the title-holders to fight back if bigger teams get off with the kind of blistering start that Patel gave to the Canadians. "We did well to get wickets and restrict them today. But against good teams with deeper batting line-up (it would be hard)," Ponting said. http://www.indianexpress.com/news/ponting-compares-hiral-patel-with-sehwag/763727/
w4rlock Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 oh man !! one inning can't compare hiral to viru. Viru is an established pinch hitter of the ball. All bowlers (dale steyn hearing ??) fear him. One the other hand, hiral is just a greenhorn. He will need to play many such innings to prove his mettle.
Sir john Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 pointing don't know what he saying viru 10000 times better than hiral kid.

99.94 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 pointing don't know what he saying viru 10000 times better than hiral kid. I don't really think it was 'he is as good as Sehwag' or even 'he is the next Sehwag'. Simply saying he plays the game in the same fashion as Sehwag.
Ramzz Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Guys, he isn't saying that he is as good as Sehwag. Jeez, some just jump to criticize without reading! "He plays a lot like Sehwag and reminds me of him" does not imply that he is as good as Sehwag.
vvvslaxman Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 pointing don't know what he saying viru 10000 times better than hiral kid. hiral kid is 100 times better than a top order from a certain country :winky:
w4rlock Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 ponting is sayin dis bcoz his bowling attack was tore into shreds in first 6 overs by that hiral kid

Shane Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 It is actually true, a lot of him reminds of Viru, His pick up and then the follow through of the bat. The title is a bit misleading though.
Sir john Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 no one is like viru,no one can copy ours viru. viru is best in the world :yay:
rkt.india Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 You cannot have everything' date=' can you?? Our big problem is fielding. If we can lift that we will win games easily.[/quote'] we don't have many slow fielders...to be a good fielding side, you need some very good fielders and athletic players which we are usually not.
