But it makes complete sense to compare his bowling with Bhajji because he ended up giving two extra runs while taking only 2 extra wickets more than Bhajji On this pitch we needed wickets more and even one extra wicket from Bhajji would have reduced final tally by 20 runs. Moral of the story, dont open your big mouth if you cannot back it up Bhaji also bowled in PP smart ass. PP at beggining of match ad end of match. Did you watch the game chump?

ViruRulez Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 To all those who are defending Bhajji, I just want to say that he is OK but NOT GOOD ... he is noway even near the top spinners in India leave apart the world .. every spinner and part-timer has outbowled him be it Jadeja, UV or anybody else .. Ojha and Ashwin have outbowled him in 9 out of 10 times they were given chances alongwith him .. he needs to be dropped AFTER the world cup as it is unfair to bowlers like Ojha and Ashwin who have been in the sidelines for such a long time even after outbowling him on nearly every occasion To all those who want him booted out of the team right now, it is not possible in the middle of the world cup as there are no replacements for him. We do not have Ojha right now and Nehra, Chawla and Munaf are all crappier than Bhajji ... so there is no option But after the world cup he must be booted out of the team for sure. Hopefully that would make him a good bowler again. Remember UV, Veeru etc. have been booted out several times and they always returned stronger. It might be a blessing in disguise for Bhajji if he can take the booting positively.

He outbowled Ashwin. This way we can even fit Pathan in.

This way we can even fit Pathan in.[/quote'] UV is a must in the team for his all round abilities .. he has far more improved as a bowler than a batsman and so he is indispensable for the team .. I want Bhajji to be the world's top bowler as he was in the past ... I am not sure if he has gone into his shell or is taking his place for granted but he has changed from a quality bowler to a dart thrower in the last 3-4 years .. I thought he would improve after Kumble's retirement as he needed to head the spin department but he instead became bad .. Veeru has been dropped twice if I am not wrong and he came back strongly each time .. so did UV when he was dropped .. Bhajji is perhaps the only bowler never to have been dropped even though we have better spinners on current form in domestic and international backup .. I am not sure but something has changed Bhajji's bowling for sure.. maybe he needs some booting for him to regain form .. when he plays in domestic and would see the spin backup then I am sure he would realize his mistakes and start firing again
