He does not 'slide his bat in' Rahul Dravid in Tests but in ODIs.... Even Gambhir wasn't diving or sliding his bat in. Get the basics right, Gary Kirsten!

We have no advantages over Pakistan , if anything their Spin and pace bowling attack is much better india Mohali needs to be a pure batting wicket where 300 runs + are scored, that would basically even the tilt and make it a anyones game. We surely need to play Nehra over Munaf.. Officially munaf is the weak link now

Pakis are better players of spin than Aus and WI Do u guys think this strategy should be continued. If anything Munaf needs make way to nehra who should open the bowling the conventional way.

If you make it a batting pitch, then that will be some advtg to Pak. Since their weakness will not be exposed. We have to believe our Ind batting can face a sterner test. So make it a bowler friendly pitch. And then its a duel between batsmen's technique. Hope our batsmen can face that test, and theirs crumble. Our technique should hold up better than theirs - if not, we dont deserve it.
DomainK Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Yeah, I agree. Pakistanis are not as bad players of spin bowling. We should go back to the usual strategy of opening with the faster bowlers. Ashwin will be far more effective with the older ball.
