Don't take Sri Lanka lightly

Team India shouldnt take Sri Lanka lightly Till now in group stages and quarter finals they have played very well and their bowling attack looks strong. So team India should work hard and go all guns blazing and not let any complacency set in.

Totally agree. They will be very tough to beat and a team in form. they have good variety in their bowling line up. Good quality pacer in Malinga and a legend like Murali. Indian batsmen needs to do well to beat this team.

SL will be the last team our guys would ever be complacent against. The only thing I'm concerned about is our ability to keep their batsmen in check.
thats why I want a swinging pitch.thier FTB'S willl surrender to swing.only Sanga n Jaya r class

I hope our batting is in full flow in that match. Despite a struggling middle order, we are still putting up/chasing good enough totals. One last time where hopefully the entire batting unit clicks in unison and puts it beyond Lanka.

We will again need a quick start so the middle order can play out the spinners if they are bowling well. Raina's innings showed that big shots are not needed to get 6-7 runs an over. If we have wickets in hand then we can go hard in the last 6 overs or so.

Lightly ? I think India only has a 50-50 chance against Lankans to be honest. They are a much better team than Pakistan, thats for sure. But India has the better batting line up and almost equal bowling line up. In the fielding department, they are far better. The only thing which is going to work against India's favor is they have already played two mentally draining Quarter Final and Semi Final matches and they have to turn up in 2 days time to play another big final while Sri Lanka had an easy outing in their QF and SF. Having said that, India will be mentally tougher for having played two tough matches going into the final. I have a feeling it will be a tight game but India will pull through.

:agree: For some reason, I think the final will be the biggest pressure cooker situation we will ever face- far greater than our matches against Oz and Pakistan. If we pull through, then the WC will very rightly belong to the team that emerged as the grittiest team in this tournament. That's what winning is all about- not easy-peasy goings and smooth sailing.

I feel SriLanka is slightly overrated in this WC, it has a fragile middle order, so if you have 2-3 early wickets they will be under pressure. SriLanka have not defeated any favourites in this WC, It has not played/defeated SouthAfrica/Pakistan/Australia/India and has only defeated 2 non minnows NewZealand and England:giggle: They are still a strong team, but Australia and SouthAfrica are still far better teams

How so? Sangakkara, Dilshan etc are top run scorers of this tourney. SA batting is fragile and so is Aus. Both are pretty poor against spin unlike SL.

^ i HAVE A BAD FEELING ABOUT sEHWAG' date='HE HAS GIVEN US ROUSING SART IN ALL GAMES.DUE A FAILURE?[/quote'] In fact Sehwag has hit just one 50 after the first match. Has got to starts and then got out. Saturday could be the day when he converts these blistering starts to a bigger score. :--D

Australia? Seriously? :haha: Their players are out of form, and they had a worse spin attack than Canada. Their only good game was against an inconsistent NZ. And South Africa was never in contention with their almost 6-man tail. Malinga would have destroyed it. They didnt have malinga against pak, and that was their only failure till date. Its going to be a very good match. India has to break through Dilshan, tharanga, and sanga, and regardless of what claims anyone may make about middle order not getting chances, the match is pretty much India's after that....if Zaheer can 2 of those 3 wickets, the match is finished. Sri Lanka needs to exploit India's weak bowling, in fact Dilshan loves hitting Zaheer n Nehra and spoiling their rhythm. Sanga is powerful against spinners and will go after yuvi.
