The Indian Team has been conferred with various awards, honors and accolades for winning the World Cup. The BCCI has announced Rs 1 crore for all members of the team, Rs 50 lakh for the support staff and Rs 25 lakh for the selectors. The Uttrakhand Govt has announced that it would confer MSD with "Uttrakhand Ratna" and has also decided to name the new stadium in Uttrakhand after MSD. They have also decided to give Goddy & MSD plots in Mussourie. The Jharkhand Govt has given MSD "Jharkhand Ratna". Karnataka Govt has given plots to the whole team. Delhi Govt has given Rs 2 crore to MSD and Rs 1 crore each to Delhi boys Kohli, Viru, Gauit and Nehra. Gujarat Govt has given "Eklavya Ratna" to Munaf and Yusf. UP Govt to confer Piyush Chawla and Raina with :International Kanshiram Khel Ratna" Rajasthan Govt to give the entire team a free ride in the "Palace On Wheels" luxury train. Yuvraj to be given a luxury car by the car company Audi. Yuvraj & Bhajji to be given Rs 1 crore each by the Punjab Govt. The Railway Ministry has announced free passes for all members of the team in 1st class for life. Air India to give promotions and awards to Dhoni, Yuvraj, Raina and Bhajji. Maharashtra CM announces Rs 1 crore for Goddy & Zak. more to follow........

Maybe they think Virat Kohli is a Bangalore guy because he played for RCB ? :hehe:

After World Cup victory, Team India captain to become 'Dr' Dhoni

RANCHI: The Jharkhand government on Sunday said that it would confer an honorary doctorate degree on local boy and Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni - who is yet to complete his graduation but who led his team to a fantastic World Cup victory in Mumbai. "We will soon initiate the process to award honorary doctorate degree to Dhoni," said Baijnath Ram, human resource development (HRD) minister of Jharkhand. The state HRD minister announced before the World Cup that a doctorate degree would be awarded to Dhoni if India win the tournament. Dhoni, 29, is doing his graduation from St Xavier's College in Ranchi. He has been unable to complete the course due to his tight schedule.

What is Eklavya Ratna
I'm guessing it's the highest sporting honor in the state like the Dronacharya award is for coaching.
A Raja should give the team 10% of his 1.79 lakh crores. Thode paap toh maaf honge

Was said in zest guys..am sure each one of them would give away a lot of monetary rewards for the bigger felicitations. As an aside, Eklavya Award comes with Rs. 1 Lakh

Gujarat government is cheap. They should award 1 crore each to Munna and Yusuf!!!
