anish233 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 face it. Afridi has the record, why so much hate... he is a dick with his statesments of late, but he has this record.. and its gonna take something special to break it.. i wont sya its imposible but... very hard.
anish233 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I think Afridi scored it by fluke. That is the first and last time he's looked threatening with the bat in hand wow. the hatred is ridiculous. so if pakis do something its FLuke? LOL...
anish233 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Here's a good way to find out if the record is held by a person who deserves it or it was just a fluke that fell in the holder's lap by chance. What are the chances of the person doing it again? just trying to play devils advocate here.. was kumbles 10 wickets a fluke? sachin's 200 a fluke?
Anakin Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 just trying to play devils advocate here.. was kumbles 10 wickets a fluke? sachin's 200 a fluke? SRT scored 175 and 180odd, and scored 48 100s. Same way Jumbo has been way too consistent for all his life. On the other hand, the only thing Afraidi has been consistent in his life is flipfloping, making no sense of whatever he's saying, and being a poor batsman. So, yes, that was a fluke.
Midfielder Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Guys Afridi played some good cricket and everyone needs to respect that.
anish233 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Guys Afridi played some good cricket and everyone needs to respect that. +1
jf1gp_1 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 yup its going to be a tough record to break, every second ball you face has to be either a boundary or six; two guys who could break it are pollard or white
Guest Gunner Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Hate being pedantic' date= but some one tell Shahid Afridi that its the 'record of the fastest 100' and not 'the fastest 100' that may or may not be broken. :P Mash'allah, not too many people use this word these days, warms my heart. :P
Guest Gunner Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 4 overs of Piyush chawla to Yusuf pathan would do the job.. too bad they play for the same side :cantstop: :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
Guest Gunner Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 low iq??? he said if jadeja and chawla were playing? Were they playing? The fact that you are here is an example of our largesse now don't you be barking at our posters.
Guest Gunner Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 A Pakistani has the record for highest number of A's in A Levels! :finger: They alse hold the record for per capita the highest number of dole scroungers. :winky:
Anakin Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Mash'allah' date=' not too many people use this word these days, warms my heart. :P[/quote'] Doesn't take too much too warm your tiny heart.
ali0786 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I think Afridi scored it by fluke. That is the first and last time he's looked threatening with the bat in hand Maybe you forgot the century he scored against India where he earned the nickname boom boom from Ravi Shastri.
OriginalCopy Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Will be extremely difficult to trump this record. It will take some doing to score a century in 37 balls. Something like about a strike rate of 270 or so, wow!

Something like about a strike rate of 270 or so' date=' wow![/quote'] no its lot more difficult to score 50 in 12 balls. hundred in 37 balls is nothing special against pop gun attack consisting of jayasuria on smallest boundaries in the world. Yovraj#s innings was against proper bowlers like Broad, flintoff and company.. There is simply no comparision.

Dhruv200 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Maybe you forgot the century he scored against India where he earned the nickname boom boom from Ravi Shastri. Pakistanis like to hype their players Afridi is a slogger if he was playing for India he woud have been dropped long time ago all hit and miss player afridi no technique no brain.
cricketfan2010 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011  including vaas & Murali & LOL @ "proper bowlers" Mr. Einstein.. Murali wasn't murali as we know it on those days. stop hyping a slogger. In any other proper cricket team he wouldn't have lasted 1 season. Only because pakistan cricket team is so mediocre even useless players like Kamran akmal and Afridi get extended run..
