saneindian
Time to kick SRK and Circus out of Kolkata. For making it to the semis? Wow. And when SRK threw Dada out of KKR for not being able to achieve much with the team, you were among those one who cried the most!!

ganeshran
No for winning only one match more than the previous team. Yet staying relevant for 90% of the competition and not just winning dead rubbers.
mishra
Time to kick SRK and Circus out of Kolkata. Dada or any decent cricketer wouldnt like to play for Khan. Look,How much money he has to shelll to make Gambhir play for him. But soon Gambhir and co realised. Best Example was seen yesterday how negative Khan can be. Whole KKR top order wasnt interested in winning it

Doesnt matter they made it or not, the previous team would have done it anyway after they showed some progress last season. Plus the previous team were better against Big teams [Last season mainly] unlike this team. Just a difference of mere two points.

vvvslaxman
Yet staying relevant for 90% of the competition and not just winning dead rubbers. +1 Last 3 editions KKR won few matches after they were virtually knocked out.

vvvslaxman
^But fared better against better teams' date=' this team looked more of a Minnow basher.[/quote'] Delhi was the real minnow. Pune warrior on paper are better than lot of the teams. Poor captainy led to their downfall. Rest of the teams like Kochi, Punjab are not exactly minnows. MI lost to kochi once, MI lost to Royals twice, MI lost to Punjab once. CSK lost to Punjab, Kochi once. Problem with your argument is KKR is not exactly world beating T20 side. They are somewhere between a minnow and top team. To put it simply you are grossly over-rating KKR team.

I do not agree with things on Paper, RR royals were the most ordinary side on Paper compared to other teams in last 3 IPLs still they were champions, and most of the times fared better than other teams who were better on paper. So any team that beats them, must get some praise, similarly, here though teams like Pune and Kochi were better on paper , they were not much good in IPL , so I would consider them as a poor IPL side, losing to them Kochi actually not an excuse even if you are not a world beater. Lets leave aside minnows now, even against the other top three teams this team fared ordinarily Unlike the previous teams. In 20-20 there is no such thing as paper, anyone can win. Pakistan won the 20-20 WC, we won the WC with a bunch of Rookies.
ViruRulez
They have not fixed the team this year too. To be fair enough KKR was never bad in team compositions. If you check the last 3 IPLs then they were a team with Gayle, McCullum and other power hitters and nobody would have thought of such a dismal performance. But this year they were better but not that great too. KKR management and captains are also to be blamed. If you had given Dhoni the same team then he would have won the IPL with the same. This year KKR lost only their playoff due to their opponent's quality otherwise rest all matches they have lost due to their own mistakes especially playing XI selection and batting order. Shane
Completely agree with Andy's views, tbh I feel for the ardent KGayR fans to have had to support such a spineless team for the last 4 years and with a phony and pretentious owner/management combo at the helm. Its good that supporters like Andy have realized this and are now supporting some real cricketing teams and not some bunch of jokers.
Andy
Glad someone agreed, 4 years on and you are progressing at the rate of 1 point, 2 points is not something called for by the fans. They deserve better. More importantly wining 8 games out of 154 with a completely diffrerent and a new team is not acceptable too given the past teams hadnt done that bad compared to the current one. CSK Fan
Wait, are KKR bashing the only captain who lead them to the top 4 stage? Boy, they would give a close run to the unrealistic Pak fans who would rahter see their team lose badly than see them compete and lose. So the blame goes to Misbah who fought and brought the team close while they are ok with losing badly because of an Afridi brain fart. And they have unrelaistic expectations from an average team just because they punched above their weight in a couple of games. Damn Shah Rukh for turning this team green

Damn Shah Rukh for turning this team green Given the strength of the team , the players they have, the amount spent on auction, the excuses given to the fans this team with any leader i repeat ANY LEADER should reach the play offs. If this is what the results were to be, why change the past team? Not just ganguly, the other players too. Given the progress they made from IPL 1 to IPL 3 and from IPL 3 to IPL 4, the old team couldnt have done any bad, it was only a matter of mere two points. Rusty
I agree with the leader bit here. There were some games where we should have won easily, but either gambhir was too simplistic in his approach or he was cmpletely ignorant of the flow of the game. CSK, kochi at home, MI at home and so on. But I am not so sure on dada's part. I don't know if we would have progressed under him anymore after the 3 years we had
