youngindia Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 sachin, rayudu, rohit and symonds. jacobs and pollard, technically limited and unreliable. sathish at best a useful ranji player. because sachin or rohit have taken a huge load, this has not been exposed. It was close today but the symonds/rohit was never broken. cmon teams, they can expose the soft underbelly of the fake mumbaikars 11.
zaheer Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 with only 4 real batsmen they defeated the Vadaaa Saambars comprehensively!! :yay:
Raghav_12 Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 sachin' date=rayudu, rohit and symonds. jacobs and pollard, technically limited and unreliable. sathish at best a useful ranji player. because sachin or rohit have taken a huge load, this has not been exposed. It was close today but the symonds/rohit was never broken. cmon teams, they can expose the soft underbelly of the fake mumbaikars 11. but after having these four monsters, why do you need any more :winky:
youngindia Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 teams have to target sachin and rohit. rayudu and symonds ae priority two. solution- prepare tracks with something in it for the bowlers early on. once all four faill, MI are doomed without an iota of doubt muhahahahahahaha!
WC2011INDIA Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Malinga is their key bowler. If he doesn't do well in a particular match then MI chances of defending their score is like 50%. So far so good. But I have a feeling that MI will not win this tournament.
DomainK Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 You have seen four because these four have dominated so far. Till Sachin and Rayudu were scoring people said "Mumbai has only two batsmen". When they failed, you saw two more. If needed, others can others will perform and you will get to see what we have. Even Bhajji can pwn the rest of IPL.
Ultimate_Game Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Well the key is they have 4 "World Class" batsmen... other teams generally have fewer.
youngindia Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 others do not have the talent. the opposition will atleast fancy their chances against this significantly weaker lot. jacobs and pollard are dangerous strikers of the ball but they have weak techniques in different ways(pollard is downright horrible).maybe i will be concerned asbout jacobs a bit more. however pollard is highly unreliable for long periods.sathish will not be anything special. they may still be useful here and there but they will fail significantly for sure.
vvvslaxman Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 They will reach semis 100%. But from there on.. it is anybody's game.
youngindia Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 Well the key is they have 4 "World Class" batsmen... other teams generally have fewer. australia was invincible becuase they had 7. its very much possible to get thru 4 match winners than the near impossible task of seven. two of them are young as well -rohit,rayudu . they are vulnerable to say the least. :hysterical:
Holysmoke Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 :hehe: By that metric, dhakkan has 1 real batsman :hysterical:
Sachin=GOD Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 australia was invincible becuase they had 7. its very much possible to get thru 4 match winners than the near impossible task of seven. two of them are young as well -rohit,rayudu . they are vulnerable to say the least. :hysterical: they were invincible in ODIs and Tests - this is T20. You don't need 7 world class batsmen in such a short format.
vvvslaxman Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 :hehe: By that metric, dhakkan has 1 real batsman :hysterical: All you need is 2 consistent batsmen in a T20 line up with a decent slogger down the order. McCUllum, Mahela were enough for kochi with a bit of flourish by Jaddu at the death.
vvvslaxman Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 they were invincible in ODIs and Tests - this is T20. You don't need 7 world class batsmen in such a short format. Even in ODIs it is a decent line up.
The Outsider Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 How many real batsmen do you need for a 20 over match? All they are missing is Supermaniam Badrinath ul Haq! :hysterical:
Ultimate_Game Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 australia was invincible becuase they had 7. its very much possible to get thru 4 match winners than the near impossible task of seven. two of them are young as well -rohit,rayudu . they are vulnerable to say the least. :hysterical: Now you are mixing T20 with odi and Tests. In Tests Aus were great due to their bowlers and in odi it was a combination of both the batsmen and bowlers. This is T20 and 4 world class batsmen in a domestic T20 tourney is quite enough. Which other IPL team has more batting depth?

jaggadaku Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 only RCB has slightly better batting line up than MI
vvvslaxman Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 only RCB has slightly better batting line up than MI Look where they were before Gayle joined them. It is not about quantity. It is about quality and form. Mumbai have both going for them.
