Old guy Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 ok if you want to keep it to outside the sub continent than behold these stats: http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;host=2;host=3;orderby=batting_average;qualmin1=500;qualval1=runs;team=6;team=7;template=results;type=batting anwar > sehwag in aus and sa this includes draws let's remove draws http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;host=2;host=3;orderby=batting_average;qualmin1=500;qualval1=runs;result=1;result=2;team=6;team=7;template=results;type=batting sehwag drops down further now let's move onto england, wi and nz. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;host=1;host=4;host=5;orderby=batting_average;qualmin1=500;qualval1=runs;team=6;team=7;template=results;type=batting anwar> sehwag again now let's remove draws http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;host=1;host=4;host=5;orderby=batting_average;qualmin1=500;qualval1=runs;result=1;result=2;team=6;team=7;template=results;type=batting as expected the ftb average drops further down I had to lower the criteria for minimum runs scored from 500 to 200 just so sehwag can feature in this list lol. right at the bottom of the list with bhajji and waqar younis http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;host=1;host=4;host=5;orderby=batting_average;page=2;qualmin2=200;qualval2=runs;result=1;result=2;team=6;team=7;template=results;type=batting does not less draws show u had better bowling line up ? atleast sane people will look at it tht way
Ultimate_Game Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 lol sehwag fans have no reply to post 149 as expected. Says the fan of a team whose whole batting lineup has been singlehandedly owned by Sehwag. Still waiting for those scintillating innings produced by Inzi, Yusuf & Anwar in Aus or SA :hysterical:

Never played in WI. Sehwag in his first 15 matches in those countries Runs : 1230 Avg : 47.3 HS : 195 SR : 75.97 100s : 4 No code has to be inserted here. Anwar in his 15 matches Runs : 1205 Avg : 43.03 HS : 176 SR : 58.83 100s : 4 No code has to be inserted here.
panther Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 even draws can't save sehwag, no doubt anwar is in a league above sehwag.

Ultimate_Game Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 even draws can't save sehwag' date=' no doubt anwar is in a league above sehwag.[/quote'] Yup in the leagues of Inzi & Yusuf who used to cr@p their pants in Aus and SA. I'm sure looking at their performances in Aus & SA they weren't brand ambassadors for diapers :haha:
panther Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Anwar played 15 matches in SA, Aus, Eng and NZ. Never played in WI. Crookbond Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 even draws can't save sehwag' date=' no doubt anwar is in a league above sehwag.[/quote'] Completely agree - the league of Holy Kuran preachings in the mountains of Afghanistan. :agree:
panther Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Completely agree - the league of Holy Kuran preachings in the mountains of Afghanistan. :agree: ok than internet gladiator. is this your best reply.
JaFanatic Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 That actually would be a much better comparison than Akmal & Kohli or Anwar & Sehwag :hysterical::cantstop:yea to compare a batsman who has scored two triple hundreds and reached the pinnacle of test rankings to a paki's ATG(or one of the worst mediocre batsman in cricket history-you can take it either way doesn make any diff though) is an insane
Ultimate_Game Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 By the way has Anwar recovered after getting owned by Debashish Mohanty :hysterical: Still remember Mohanty making Anwar his bi@tch in 90s :haha:
Trichromatic Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 sorry I don't see your point? Sehwag did better than Anwar in his 15 matches against those oppositions (Eng, SA, Aus, Eng and WI). It's not that hard to understand. :dontknow: Now you can claim that had Anwar played 34 matches against those oppositions, he would have done better as he was not a FTB and averaged 43 there.
panther Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Sehwag did better than Anwar in his 15 matches against those oppositions (Eng, SA, Aus, Eng and WI). It's not that hard to understand. :dontknow: so anwar overall has a far better record.
Crookbond Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 ok than internet gladiator. is this your best reply. No this is! :finger:
Ultimate_Game Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 sehwag fans have completely lost it. Maybe the irony of a Paki (and a fan of Inzi, Yusuf & Anwar to boot) calling Sehwag a FTB is lost on a few :haha:
Trichromatic Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 so anwar overall has a far better record. Yes and Sehwag hasn't retired yet. He could end up with better record in future or may have much poorer record. But fact remains that Sehwag did better than Anwar in same number of matches in those countries since his debut. If 15 matches can be basis for judging Anwar then why not same for Sehwag? It's harder to maintain same performance for many series in country especially in away matches.
JaFanatic Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 just because anwar had beard on his face ppl should not think he was the amla of pakistanB->
