Sir john Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Even SJ does not promote Badrinath? :(( i don't like badrinath way of playing.
Ultimate_Game Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Sir John is always there to support and promote mediocre tailunt. :yay: Mediocre he may be but still a World Champion :two_thumbs_up:
Cricket Tragic Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Even SJ does not promote Badrinath? :(( :omg: It must mean that either Badri is not as bad as what we think or that he falls even below Sir John's standard (now that is ****ing low).
Sir john Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 :omg: It must mean that either Badri is not as bad as what we think or that he falls even below Sir John's standard (now that is ****ing low). :hatsoff: you view of thinking a player win world cup and joy to many indians heart and you are takinga dig at him. :hatsoff:
Cricket Tragic Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 :hatsoff: you view of thinking a player win world cup and joy to many indians heart and you are takinga dig at him. :hatsoff: How can one player win a WC and more importantly when did Jogi win the WC? :hmmm: Also, Kenya has never won the World Cup. Why the support for them (or even Jaddu)? :hmmm:
Sooda Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Scrap FC cricket and lets stick to the trusted 'pick anyone who looks half decent from the U19's' route :isalute:
kabira Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 LOL @OP, Jogi must have hardly played against top ranji teams since he is in plate division. LOL Whereas Badrinath has been scoring runs against top teams of our Ranji Elite League.

lonestarranger Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 From the poll results, looks like we've got a lot of closet Jogi fans. SJ was a brave one...
sachinrox Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 wtf joginder in test side ? I wont pick him in my gully XI :phehehe:
gult Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 YES! Give him a fair chance, say 4-5 tests. It's not like we already have a great bowling attack.
ganeshran Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Outy ki nigahen Jogi par hai, par nishana kahi aur hai :acute:
singhprakash72 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Well if not anything he can bolster our Bowling attack with his phenomenal speed ...last time I checked it was hovering around 159kph...just short of 100 MPH. Well Jokes apart if Madan Lal could play 30 odd test matches why can't Joginder Sharma !! I mean both run faster than the ball the deliver but give 110 % on the field. Didn't we win WC1983 with bowlers like Madan Lal ?
Ram Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Shwetabh is being unbelievably unfair in his assessment of Badri. To say the Joginder the bowler is as good as Badri the batsmen is just not accurate at all. If you look at all the chances guys like Rohit Sharma, Uthappa, Karthik have been given, especially in the ODI arena and compare that to say what Badri has got, its hard not to think ‘If he had played even half the matches that some of these guys did, he’d have probably been at least twice as effective..’
The Outsider Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 ^ What other credentials does Badrinath have besides having a good FC record (nowhere as good as Jogi)?
Ram Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 ^ What other credentials does Badrinath have besides having a good FC record (nowhere as good as Jogi)? Have you been watching any of the IPL games at all? Badrinath has been one of the standout batsmen of this tournament, not just this year, but the previous years as well. What has Jogi done? I don’t need first class numbers to convince myself of the relative merit/de-merit of someone. You can obviously tell if someone has cricketing ability or not, just by watching them play.
ganeshran Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Badri should atleast be given a few more chances... before deciding whether he will come good on the international stage
The Outsider Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 Have you been watching any of the IPL games at all? Sorry, I don't consider IPL performances for test match selections. Have you seen Laxman batting in IPL? I don’t need first class numbers to convince myself of the relative merit/de-merit of someone. That's the only thing in Badrinath's favor, because if you have seen him bat you can immediately tell he is an inept fool against quality pace.
