Almost every TV channel had lots of shows lined up for children on weekends - cartoons (mickey mouse, duck tales, donald duck, tom & jerry etc), fantasy shows and of course Bournvita Quiz Contest, Mahabharat etc - all used to come on weekends from 9.30 in the morning to around 12-12.30.
