yoda Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Re: Excellent news - Sachin to play till 2011 !!! Sachin shud retire from ODIs after WC and concentrate on Tests.. But he is doing better in ODIs. Why not retire from tests and play just the important ODIs leading upto 2011? Skip minnows, dead rubber matches, etc.
kabira Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Re: Excellent news - Sachin to play till 2011 !!! yoda, if he can score in ODI..there is no reason he cant do that in Tests.. soon he will be back.. I have seen him struggle many times in past 17 years..
gator Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Re: Excellent news - Sachin to play till 2011 !!! Sachin got back from his injury, very serious one, under high pressure.... jus wen our form was taking a nose dive... it is very difficult for him.... he didnt even get a chance to ease in.... immediately all kinds of doubts have crept into his mind, tht if his technique, reflex are failing him..... insteadd, if he had come in when we were on a high, things would have been vastly differnet...
kabira Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Re: Excellent news - Sachin to play till 2011 !!! He is too good a player to miss out on this tour... even in his worst form..looked class apart in Durban...and last ODI..
Gotham Cronie Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 This is what I said, Shaily ! Just imagine Sachin holdin up the World Cup in Mumbai !! It will be pandemonium ! Air India could be under massive stress to hold all you guys ! :lmao: :lmao: :two_thumbs_up: I can't imagine Sachin's performance being good enough to warrant a place in the side' date=' tests or ODIs, till then. He is already doing rather poorly in tests. In ODIs he is still our best bat and will prolly be in 2007. 2011 would be a stretch, IMO.[/quote']
Pak_Forever Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 ^ ahead of great batters like Pathan.... :hysterical: nice bump :cantstop:
ravishingravi Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Truth is lot of people in India shared this opinion on Tendlya at the time
zaheer Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 one of the oldest cricket cliches "Form is Temporary, Class is permanent!!"
King Tendulkar Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 ^ ahead of great batters like Pathan.... :hysterical: nice bump :cantstop: I hope you realise I was being very sarcastic:--D

vvvslaxman Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 More than the cup, Sunil's worry was someone would catch up with Sachin's records.. TYpical Sunil :cantstop: . Punter 33 Sachin 35 century count .. whoa !!

I wish if SMG could hold all his excitement until Sachin retires.

ganeshran Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 When will SMG understand its not because of records that Sachin has such a huge following. Its not the number of 100s or 50s or averages (even though we fans love to boast about it). Its because of the man himself, the way he enjoys his cricket and gives his 100%, handles the expectations of a billion people and still remains extremely down to earth

As soo as he gets to the crease he starts talking about century.
