Zero_Unit Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Who else is planing to call of retirement ... Wasim Akram perhaps? :haha: Ahh the Pakistanis and their retirement. :giggle:
jairamesh Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Heading should be: "Zulqarnain Haider satisfied with new terms regarding his pot of share from spot fixing" Whilst all other boards use Central Contracts to tie their players up, PCB uses Fixing Contracts to sign players up.

hify_ameet Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 oh man.. I wonder if these retirement routines are only in their cricket or in all streams in Pakistan.. In other countries, people retire in the 60-65 age bracket and it's the opposite in Pakistan. The only people who don't retire there are above 60, like Ijaz Butt, Zardari, Laden, Mulla Umar and the list goes on & on.. :winky:
bhanu Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 and the tradition goes on n on. in pakistan its every player's duty to retire den unretire :hatsoff:
CoverDrive Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 PCB to handout central contracts under the following heads *Banned Players who have retired but will un-retire if unbanned *Retired Players who will be banned if they un-retire *Banned players who will retire when then will be un-banned *Players with indefinite ban who have retire but will play if life banned *Retired players with indefinite bans who want to be banned for life *Banned players who have not retired *Retired Players who have been banned and also have run away so cannot be selected * other Normal players - No One left in this in this quota anyway
Fontaine Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 "I have reversed my decision to retire from all cricket after consulting my family and friends and because of the changed situation now," he said. Translation: I couldn't get asylum from England because they realized my story was full of sh*t.

They have every right to avail these facilities. :hitler:
CoverDrive Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 ^ :(( even i am confused now - I am sorry but i have no answer for you
Cricket Tragic Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Salman didn't look too great behind the stumps and he isn't a great batsman either. Have him as a cheerleader. I expect Dropmal to be selected again in the next series. They should have just retained Adnan Dropmal. He did a decent job.
ensd2 Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 What a legend Zulkunul haider , he has a future in bollywood

saneindian Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Imran set the trend for this. He retired and then came back on Zia's request in 1987 and the last 4 years for him were the most successful for him as a captain especially ODIs winning the Nehru cup in 1989 and the WC in 1992. Maybe the pak players think retiring and then taking it back brings them luck. Even their hockey team retired after the CWG 2010 but then 'unretired' and see what they got, became Asian Champions a few months later.
