Hafeez < Strauss (Strauss a proper test match batsman, proven record) Taufeeq < Cook Azhar < Trott (Trott is one of the best around) Younis > Pietersen Misbah = Bell (Misbah and Bell should be equal in this series since it's played in UAE. U.Akmal > Morgan Akmal < Prior (Akmal just has 1 fifty to his name against Bangladesh) Gul > Broad Junaid = Anderson (Junaid inexperienced, Anderson struggles on flat wickets) Ajmal = Swann (Both will be pretty much equal here) Rehman > Panesar

Utalk Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 On paper Eng are much better. Only YK and Ajmal(arguably) can get into this Eng side. I think most of my countrymen are underestimating Eng. But I don't think it will be a one sided series the way most Eng and Indian fans are predicting. This Pak test line up is the most resilient team we had for years. These guys don't throw their wickets away. Add in the conditions where ball won't come on like it does in Eng/Aus or SA and it won't be easy for Eng to force the pace. Eng pace attack will have to bend their backs because you won't see any seam or swing. I expect Broad and Bresnon to make an impact. Swann will have his hands full against YK and Misbah.Expect him to trouble Azhar, taufeeq and asad. If I was a betting man I would back Eng to sneak a 1-0 win but a drawn series won't surprise me.

Expect him to be your best batsman in the series. As for wicket I think you missed the SL series. Two out of three surfaces had something for pacers on the first day. Misbah is nowhere near bells class but he is hard to dismiss and will frustrate your bowlers in this test series.
