ViruRulez Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Ok. Results are getting in 4 big Indian states including both of India's Left bastions. Exit polls are showing possible left elimination from Indian politics but I am doubtful especially for Kerala and feel Left might do better. Results trickling in on all news channels. Left and Congress almost neck to neck right now in Kerala in leads. Tamil Nadu not much leads but DMK and AIADMK considered to go to a close fight. AIADMK even might win more seats than DMK according to many though South Tamil Nadu which was a deciding area is becoming a stronghold of DMK. So, quite uncertain there too. The only two somewhat clear states are West Bengal and Assam both of which are likely to be swept by Trinamool Congress + Congress and Congress respectively.
ViruRulez Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 All channels are showing different results. Not sure which channel is correct. Maybe it is better to check at around 12 as most of the votes would be counted by then.
sachinrox Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 yes look in the closing hrs it ll show perf results
asterix Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Trends showing DMK in TN and Left in WB are on the way out.. Kerala going for a hung assembly..All in all, UPA doing well everywhere except in TN..
StriKe Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 AIADMk going to win in TN, Supporters started to celebrate their victory by distributing sweets outside Amma's house. Started to burst firecrackers near my home, Shops were opened lately today.
ViruRulez Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 It is now clear now. My predictions in the first post were right. AIADMK, Trinamool+Congress and Congress sweeping the elections in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Assam respectively. Kerala seems to be moving towards a hung assembly as of now.
urbestfriend Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Oh...This means end of left politics in Indian politics. A sad day indeed!
ViruRulez Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 CNN IBN showing in flashing news. Mamata KnigtRider Jaya Chennai Super Queen :WTF: IPL here too in elections. :giggle: Left and communism seems to have been eradicated from India now. Even the somewhat success in Kerala was due to V S Achitanandan rather than Left party as a whole. BTW why does Congress not use Shashi Tharoor as the CM of Kerala. Tharoor is a lot better than most politicians and surely deserve to be at least CM IMO. He was made the scapegoat but he is better and more educated than most Indian politicians.

Mamata KnigtRider Jaya Chennai Super Queen :WTF: IPL here too in elections. :giggle: Even i saw and i was like :WTF: Can't they imagine anything new ? Alagiri refuses to address the media outside his home.According to news channel he is very upset lol.
asterix Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Noob kochan: How do you pronounce? Azhagiri & Kanimozhi as Alagiri & Kanimoli? Is "Zha" pronounced as "La"?
urbestfriend Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 ^ YOu big :fail: if you dont know how to pronounce Tamizh...
Prakat Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Gautam Deb in shock. He's on 24/7 blaming the public. WTF!
ViruRulez Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 Breaking News : West Bengal CM Buddhadeb also heading towards defeat for his own seat. :omg:
SachDan Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Oh...This means end of left politics in Indian politics. A sad day indeed! CPM has done extremely well in Kerala. They alone did win 46 seats whereas Congress won just 36 seats out of the 80 plus seats contested!
saneindian Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 In a related news, Jagan Mohan reddy and his mother win their respective Loksabha and assembly seats. That loss and the TN loss will be a huge worry for the congress. Those two states alone had nearly 65 seats for the UPA in the last elections. I will not be surprised to see congress dump DMK and join hands with Jaya very soon. Mamta in WB may not give much importance to the congress now as she has a majority of her own in WB. The only real gain for the Congress seems to be Kerala where again they will be walking a thin rope. Another worrying result for the congress would be BJP baggng all 3 assembly seats in Karnataka despite Yeddyurappa being under persistent attack for corruption.
littlemaster1982 Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Noob kochan: How do you pronounce? Azhagiri & Kanimozhi as Alagiri & Kanimoli? Is "Zha" pronounced as "La"? Even most of the tamilians don't pronounce it right :haha: I can't find any phonetic equivalent for zha :((
ViruRulez Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 CPM has done extremely well in Kerala. They alone did win 46 seats whereas Congress won just 36 seats out of the 80 plus seats contested! To be fair enough I think Prakash Karat and central leadership destroyed the Left parties rather than the state units in Kerala and WB. They started their doom as they started to oppose all development projects. Now BJP is following the same route of everything related to development and playing dirty politics and Rahul also followed the same in farmer's protest. Infact, that old man VS Achitanandan was quite well spoken and seems honest from the couple of interview I saw on TV though I do not follow Kerala politics. BTW it is still close fight in Kerala and is is 71-69 right now and too close to call. And Left has won far more seats than Congress and that is right.

Infact they had the best opportunity when Jaya gave them an open offer on TV if I remember during the 2G scam case. Now Jaya would make more demands because it would be a Congress offer as she is the kingmaker now instead of a few months ago when she herself made the offer openly and so Congress would have a stronger hold then.

Congress will ensure none of its netas get implicated in the 2G scam, entangle DMK completely , make them the fall guy and then dump Karuna. Will be a gameplan for 1-2 years. Waise bhi they don't need Jaya till 2014. Accepting Jaya's offer earlier could have meant DMK spilling the beans on Congress netas in the 2G scam. What will make the equation interesting is if DMK now asks Raja to tun approver and name all the culprits before the CBI and the supreme court!
