Serani Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 India seem to be leading the way in producing dangerous pitches so it would be hypocritical to say anything.
vvvslaxman Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 India seem to be leading the way in producing dangerous pitches so it would be hypocritical to say anything. There was no incident reported prior to the match. So they were caught off guard. But with Edgbaston you guys have played several matches. So that makes it even more foolish. In those places matches were called off immediately unlike you guys.
Sid Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 Yep' date=' WI vs Eng. Ambrose and Walsh on that pitch....:hysterical:[/quote'] Here is the scorecard http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/63783.html Wat a pitch

Cricket Tragic Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Here is the scorecard http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/63783.html Wat a pitch Great picture. :hatsoff: Alec Stewart once rated his 9 not out as his best test innings. :cantstop:
Sachin=GOD Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Here is the scorecard http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/63783.html Wat a pitch :omg: :WTF:
Cricket Tragic Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 I miss Curtly Ambrose. The bat used to look like a toothpick in his hand. :cantstop:
Serani Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 http://www.espncricinfo.com/county-cricket-2011/engine/current/match/492280.html Not such a "terror" pitch it seems.
jairamesh Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 The state of pitches will not be decided by curators or team's strength but by broadcaster's wish for at least something that will provide a game for 5 days. The Eng V Ind series will be a big cash ching ching for whoever owns the tv rights.
jairamesh Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 And as for a green top...it will only be a disadvantage to England whose batsman I just don't rate highly enough who can cut in tough conditions.

Cricket Tragic Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 We shouldn't really care about the pitches. If it is flat, James "I can only bowl when it swings" Anderson and co can't buy a wicket. If it moves around, then our bowling attack becomes stronger and we've got the batsmen to handle it. Not saying that it will be a walk in the park but we've got the quality to win irrespective of the consitions.
jairamesh Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Where do you come up with this stuff? It's a no brainer sherlock... Not sure about in England, but Indian broadcasters won't be too happy if a match finishes inside 3 days.
Serani Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 How many other bowlers in the world can bowl when it doesnt swing? Steyn certainly cant, Zaheer cant, strange cant think of any.

Sachinism Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Where do you come up with this stuff? You have a lot to learn...
