Sachinism Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Bopara fails when it matters. Scored some decent runs on the county scene before today 47/2
Cricket Tragic Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Yeah, he made 2 hundreds after a tough start to the season. Taylor is the young tailunt that everyone has been talking about and he is batting on 60 odd.
cameron_black Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 EJG morgan failed with KKR but doing very well in this match. a ton for him. overrated nuwan pradeep only one wicket on a green track.
Sid Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 England Lions 394/4 (90.0 ov) Close to 400 runs in a day, must have been a poor bowling performance. If these are the signs of the things to come, then it will be a long series for the Lankans.
CoverDrive Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Bopara still likely to be picked for the First Test according to the rumors going ahead because he made a big show of picking county cricket over IPL. Interesting though all the contenders for the Colllingwood's spot playing together - James Taylor, Bopara, morgan and Samit Patel.
Fontaine Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Lol, Finn/Onions getting smacked around like rented mules!
vvvslaxman Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 EJG morgan failed with KKR but doing very well in this match. a ton for him. overrated nuwan pradeep only one wicket on a green track. Green track? :cantstop: Onions is getting sliced and diced by SL openers.
Serani Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Well it is a green track if you look at the pics, sometimes green tracks can be roads aswell though.
Karan114 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Paranavitana gone to Onions I see Chandimal is in the XI - in line for a Test debut on Thursday?
Cricket Tragic Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I really hope Chandimal plays. Heard so much about him but watched very little of him.
Karan114 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Dilshan gone as well...Sanga and Mahela have a lot of work to do (and this will be the case throughout the tour, you imagine).
Sachinism Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 Not looking good for SL. They probably got bored from all that time in the field
Karan114 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Samaraweera could do with some in the middle...has a Test average of 4.2 in England :cantstop:
Cricket Tragic Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 That is like Yuvraj Singh's average in Australia. :cantstop:
Karan114 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 That is like Yuvraj Singh's average in Australia. :cantstop: :haha: Sanga gone as well
Karan114 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Samaraweera gone...though at least made double his English Test average This is pretty much a second string English team (bar one of Bopara and Morgan)...pretty ominous signs for the Lankans
