Why Cant Pakistan produce fast bowlers

Great thread OP. But seriously this team has always relied on spinners heavily either Qadir, Mushtaq, Saqlain and now Ajmal. Even in 80's and 90's these spinners have won them many matches. But there fans have never given these bowlers the due credit.

One delivery. One stinking delivery. I guess Gul is a spinner as he bowled one at 110kmph to Sehwag. Our spinners are faster than your pace bowlers.
wow wow, rather WOW your spinners are faster than our pace bowlers bottom speed our spinners are faster than your pace bowlers top speed :--D Feel the difference and think again...

Pakistan has produced 3 world class bowlers till now = Imran, Waqar and Wasim. Their second rung was always strong, so their bowling overall was quite strong - Aaqib Javed, Akhtar, Asif, Gul Now in the absence of legends, their second rung is forced to become the frontline attack and doesnt look that potent anymore

Any fast bowler who averages 25 with 100+ test wickets and played in most countries is world class.
They were very good bowlers but not greats of the game on the level of Imran, and the two Ws

you mean phast or fast? fast - bowlers who bowl at a quick pace without sacrificing line and length and whose primary scalps include the best batsmen in world cricket. ex- mc grath, donald, akram, waqar, steyn etc phast - bowlers who run in with the sole intention of hurling the ball as hard as possible hoping it will land anywhere in a 10 ft radius around the wicket. primary scalps include tail enders and new zealand batsmen. ex- sir aggy, sreesanth, sami etc

No, only fast bowlers who have World cup medals are World class...If you can't perform in crucial matches..your phastness is of no use.

Lols, good thread. Remember that Pakistan produce fast bowlers out of nowhere and it's only a matter of time before a new geniune quickie joins the national team. Besides Aamer will be back in a couple of years inshaAllah so no worry at all. In the mean time we we would have found another talent. That's just the way our cricket works.

You haven't seen much of Afridi's bowling it seems. He bowls these 130+ bowls quite often in ODIs. If anyone has been owned, it has to be you.
