saneindian
Dilshan as the captain was the worst mistake they made. The way he shouts, growls and stares at his fielders and bowlers is pathetic. Should either persuade Mahela/Sanga to take over or make Mathews the captain in both the formats. Another huge problem is none of their young batsmen have grabbed their chances. Chamara Silva, Kapugedera, Kandambi have all come and gone. Similarly post Murali's retirement, they have tried too many spinners. Randiv was shaping up well but seems to have been out of favour. And to top it all, they are up against a very skillful Pakistani bowling line up on sluggish pitches which aide spin. Link to comment

Trichromatic
Murali's retirement is the main reason. He could apply pressure in the middle overs which the other spinners arent able to do. Looks like sidhoni's prediction came true three years earlier :cantstop: Sri Lanka looked good only because of Murli and Vaas, otherwise their team never did well without him and same thing is happening now. Team was way too much dependent on one man. Link to comment

Sangakkara was smart and knew what would happen once Murali retired and SL really had nobody else to turn to. Link to comment

saneindian
A 3-0 thrashing coming up. In a way serves them right, especially after the moron Sanga mocked our no 1 rank last year. How things have changed in the last 18 months. Link to comment

Dravid_TheWall
If I selector I would sack Dilshan as captain and drop him down the order. Get a proper orthodox test opener to parter that Paravit guy and find new seamers. Only Dilhara is decentish. Maybe get Dammika Prasad back in. Link to comment
