So' date=' SirJohn's support led to another side's downfall [/quote'] You seem to be interested in another Tamasha league and this one without even Sachin's participation. :winky:

Darren Stevens paid tribute to Pakistan all-rounder Wahab Riaz’s role in Kent’s first win in the Friends Life t20. The left-arm seamer, whose four overs yielded 1-26, helped restrict Glamorgan to 154 for four and struck 32 not out to usher a five-wicket win with two balls to spare yesterday at the SWALEC Stadium. Riaz, who plays for Pakistan in all formats, impressed at the World Cup, notably with a five-wicket haul against India in the semi-final. “He’s shown in international cricket how good he is and we’re very fortunate to have him for the rest of the Twenty20 and some of the four-day stuff,†Stevens told ecb.co.uk. Riaz shared an unbroken 66-run stand with Sam Northeast to trump Glamorgan captain and opener Alviro Petersen’s 65. “It was quite tough really,†Stevens added. “They had a guy who batted most of the innings where we struggled at the start of the innings, so they were on top most of the game. “We had a great partnership at the end there from Northeast and our overseas Riaz; I think that was the winner really.†Riaz said: “(I’m) definitely quite happy to win the match for the team and want to do it in the future as well.â€

Almost double the amount of teams and a lot more time to play the competition......
In between these games they will get lot of rest too. Typical English hypocricy, work people to death and complain that others are doing it.

lol, just went through some stats of this english t20 cup. Apparently David Hussey is second leading scoring with 182 runs from 5 matches, SR 157. While for Kings XI Punjab David Hussey managed only 64 runs from 8 matches, SR 102! Even the likes of no-rounder Reloef van der merwe has managed to notch up an 155 runs from 3 matches, whilst at Daredevils he managed 14 runs from 4 matches. Seeeesh talk about the quality in this english t20 cup!, the likes of Sehwag and Gayle would be marmalising these bowling attacks to oblivion with a blink of an eye. Oh did I forget to mention Chaminda Vaas opens for one the county teams:hysterical:

The standard of the county T20 is dire. Lots of bits and pieces players with no quality playing endless meaningless games. The overseas "talent" is grade z level. Comparing it to the IPL is like comparing the Champions League with the San Marino football league.
