Sidhoni Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 :sniffle: :sniffle: Thinking of that day gives me goosebumps.
1983-2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 What do you think he will do after retiring: Become a cricket pundit Become a cricket coach Become a politician Become a Businessman Other...
DomainK Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Aliens may or may not land, but the extra edition paper will probably actually happen. I am sure all major papers will publish supplementary issues dedicated to Sachin on that day.
cricket_usa Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 I was very young when Gavaskar retired, but felt sad to see him go. But felt like the Indian cricket would collapse when Kapil retired. I don't know how I'll feel when its time for Tendulkar to go, its going to be hard. Atleast when Gavaskar retired we had Kapil, when Kapil retired we had Tendulkar. Who do we have when Tendulkar retires?
Javier Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 He was the main reason behind attraction towards the game , has been part of our lives for all this long time surely Cricket will never be the same after him . This guy turned a sport into a religion in this big country with millions of worshipers and Cricket will be back to its original status of being just another sport game after this God retires , wont be a religion sorta thing anymore.
Sachinism Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 I'm starting a fast on the day he retires Who's joining me?

cricket_usa Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Kohli' date=' Dhoni, Gambhir. they won't have the same status but they will have the equal impact on the field[/quote'] Don't know if Gambir and Kholi will have the same impact as Gavaskar, Kapil and Ten. Dhoni comes close but not in the same league. Even aunties would love to show off their cricketing knowledge by saying Kapil's and Gavaskar's name. I don't think we have found our next meg cricket hero yet. People are not going to shut their TV off when Doni get out or stop doing things and watch him bat.
Rajiv Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 We will rename this site to www.indiancricketfansofsachin.com

Why? Does a religion become a passing fad after its founding member/prophets retire/expire? Why would the religion of cricket return to its original status after Sachin's departure?
cricket_usa Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Why? Does a religion become a passing fad after its founding member/prophets retire/expire? Why would the religion of cricket return to its original status after Sachin's departure? It might not have that "relegion" status in India. Cricket fans will watch cricket come what may, but the fringe fans may not watch like they do now. Its like many watch golf just to watch Tiger play or watch basket ball to see Lebron play.
gaurav92 Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 I'm starting a fast on the day he retires Who's joining me? :giggle: P.S : Don't talk about it now. He is still playing and I hope he continues to play for at least a couple of years
Sidhoni Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 To all, i did not make the poster, I copied it!
Sidhoni Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 I guess the person here is just exaggerating things, the things mentioned could happen when Sachin goes to heaven. :sniffle:
Ramzz Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 I don't think he can stay away from the game for long. I am sure he will be involved in cricket somehow. Maybe a cricketing academy of some sort.
