:hatsoff: to these 2 guys for their commentary. I love listening to them , they are insightful, honest, respectful and critical without going over the top when needs be. It's a pity they usually only work in the West Indies and not in more overseas series.

almost all test commentary teams outside the subcontinent are good to listen to. well' date=' south africa not as much.[/quote'] England, Aus and SA are awful. So bias. Its almost as if they are think the players can hear their sledging. Kiwis comms are a joy. Windies are great to, especially Dujon, legend. I remember one game a dog run on the pitch, he said " I have had many a dog im my time":hysterical: The broadcaster cut of and apologised in the studio for his comments:hysterical:

true. especially considering most of 'em were ex cricketers, it must be a habit thats hard to get rid of. the first 2 groups are still fun. the english do joke around quite a bit and the aussies are full of energy.

Sadly for the tour of England we have to listen to Bhogle and Manjrekar :((
at least the telecast is on Star Cricket so we won't have to endure this pathetic Ten cricket on the England tour.

Bhogle is OK But Manjrekar tries to be too neutral: Here are his always pathetic, boring ,monotonous commentary makes everyone go to sleep, says the same thing again and again.Always tries to play down any series not telecasted on Star saying that it will be boring or india wont gain anything out of the series.Who the hell is he to say that. He always said: 1.India bowling is weak 2.India cannot win the world cup 3.Munaf Patel is injury prone 4.And was overhyping the chokers SA.

WI commentators are always top class.Even in England tours Michael Holding is the only one worth hearing.Kiwis are pretty good too.Everyone else (including Indian) are just awful.

Tbh, no Indian commentator is world class. Shoutstri is half decent compared to the rest. Says it all.
Gavaskar is the best, IMO. He has his pressure points where he repeats similar things, but he does offer genuine insight. He also makes an attempt to get the bowlers point of view and thought process when he is with someone like Bishop. Shastri has become the absolute pits of commentary ever since IPL started - he carries the same tone and blabbering into all matches now.
