phaedrus Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Roach is a must. Russel instead of Sammy (not that its going to happen) That would be a very good pace attach.
phaedrus Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 sehwag gambhir rohit tendulkar yuvraj pujara kartik zaheer sreesant ashwin rp arent teams generally picked from the squad?

Yoda-esque Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Vijay clearly doesn't look the part...I mean he doesn't look like he can settle down for the long haul...Techniques a bit iffy too
Guest Gunner Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Roach in for rampaul and a fire breathing barbados pitch. Perfect!
Sid Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Roach in for rampaul and a fire breathing barbados pitch. Perfect! Rampaul was Windies best seamer in this match, why would they drop him :hmmmm2:
Guest Gunner Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Rampaul was Windies best seamer in this match' date='why would they drop him :hmmmm2:[/quote'] On a fast bouncy pitch in barbados, edwards and Roach can cause far more damage with sustained quick bowling. Other than VVS and Dravid who has the technique to deal with that kind of bowling in the Indian team at the moment?

Guest Gunner Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Harby. Which will then be ably compensated by several 5 wides down the leg side. :D

Yoda-esque Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 WI should drop Sammy ,the new guy (cant remember his name) and their opener include Russell, samuels and roach... Barath Samuels Bravo Sarwan Chanders Baugh Russell Rampaul Roach Bishu Fidel I mean that team looks seriously good !! Imagine the bowling firepower..wow The batting is a bit light but anyways they have a few walking wickets right now. They might as well use Russsell and Rampaul as all rounders...
Cricket Tragic Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Which will then be ably compensated by several 5 wides down the leg side. :D Only talking about his batting brah. His bowling is a bonus.

Laaloo Posted June 23, 2011 Author Posted June 23, 2011 Not in tests brah. I fully agree that kohli will emerge as a good test player but he isn't there yet. Yeah I know. But the way he handled the short balls on the same pitch looked promising.

Guest Gunner Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Only talking about his batting brah. His bowling is a bonus. Entirely agreed. He is actually a batsman who was mistaken for a test spinner after his initial successes. He was forced into this role whereas in his heart he has always known albeit silently that he is India's true test opener.
Guest Gunner Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Yeah I know. But the way he handled the short balls on the same pitch looked promising. Absolutely, kohli needs to realize the importance of long periods of patience in test cricket, that's it. In his case it is a pure case of building up the mental game.
cowboysfan Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Roach has a serious drop in form as in he couldnt even trouble the pakis.
