Sachin=GOD Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 BADA is crap. No fecking Apps   I got Wave 2 - phone is quite good but BADA is awful.
rkt.india Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 That is galaxy SL i think......with LCD display yes...Super Amoled screen shortage forced Samsung to to come up with new versions of Wave and Galaxy series with SLCD...its not bad too...it effectively reduced the price as well
Shane Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 The Galaxy S2 will actually make you use your laptop like a USB charging point, after using this phone 1. You will never use a phone below the 4.3 inch display 2. You will never use a laptop Its been just 4 days since I got this phone, the 16GB internal memory almost full and may need to buy a 32 GB extendable Features of this phone 1.2 Ghz Processor and 1 GB RAM, This is my first android phone so cant really compare, but this is damn fast SAMOLED+ Display, deep blacks and very vibrant colors 8MP Auto Focus Cam, the quality is zoooper amazing and more importantly its light weight and sleek. So buy this fone and then dont buy another one for atleast a couple of years, unless you lose this one too. :)

Holysmoke Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 How does a phone with a small screen replace a laptop???? it doesnt. But it makes stuff a lot more convenient. For example, 1. I rarely use google talk or any messaging program on my laptop. I'm always connected on the phone. Swype helps me type real fast. Now I only log on from my computer when I need to. 2. Checking the score/news is also very convenient. Actually the best experience is on the ipad, but you cant carry that around everywhere. 3. The phone/tablet is very good for consuming data. In the sense that, its good to read an excel file, or a word file or a pdf, but not as good to make one. 4. The screen on this particular phone is mind blowing. Seriously. Here is what engadget had to say about it. The Galaxy S II's screen is nothing short of spectacular. Blacks are impenetrable, colors pop out at you, and viewing angles are supreme. This would usually be the part where we'd point out that qHD (960 x 540) resolution is fast becoming the norm among top-tier smartphones and that the GSII's 800 x 480 is therefore a bit behind the curve, but frankly, we don't care. With a screen as beautiful as this, such things pale into insignificance. And we use that verb advisedly -- whereas the majority of LCDs quickly lose their luster when you tilt them away from center, color saturation and vibrancy on the Galaxy S II remain undiminished. It is only at extreme angles that you'll notice some discoloration, but that's only if you're looking for it and takes nothing away from the awe-inspiring experience of simply using this device. Whether you're pushing it to its limits with movie watching or just tamely browsing the web, the Super AMOLED Plus panel inside the Galaxy S II never fails to remind you that it's simply better than almost everything else that's out there. For an instructive example of the contrast on offer here, take a look at our recent post regarding the LG Optimus Big's upcoming launch in Korea. The pattern on that handset's white back was so subtle on our desktop monitor that we completely missed it, whereas when we looked at the same image on the GSII, it looked clear as day. Maybe that doesn't speak too highly of the monitors we're working with, but it underlines the supremacy of the display Samsung has squeezed into the Galaxy S II. Makes looking at videos a completely different experience. 5. With true multitasking, you can do a lot of stuff on it. For example, I downloaded a 1.1 gig torrent completely on my phone. I realize that this doesnt make too much sense, I guess you need a few days to get used to the capabilities to fully appreciate what you can do.

Shane Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 How did you fill up 16gb in 4 days? Backed up your laptop?? Music from my iPod + 1 1080p movie + New apps and gameloft games, its around 2 gb left atm, need to get a mem card in a few days
EnterTheVoid Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Just lost my phone. So thinking of buying a relatively cheaper one.Confused between these two.Your opinions...... I carry a lot of expensive stuff as it is so I use a dabba $50 phone with a pre paid sim, which no one will bother stealing
Desi Cartman Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 My wife has a HTC Wildfire and its Epic :fail: PS: iPhone is the best

Shane Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I would imagine storing movies/songs and such data on internal SD would affect the performance. It working alrite, but i think 48 gb is too less for this "beast", should be more like 300 :) although we can connect an external hard drive to the galaxy S2, self powered obviously
akshayxyz Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 ^ Are you saying SGS2 has USB-host port!!! How would one use a portable HD, which requires power from the USB-host itself and no separate power input?
DomainK Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Just came back from Croma, had a look at SGS. Very impressed.
