The young lad is an honest trier. But perhaps needs to play some more first class cricket, gain more confidence, work on his bowling, add some more pace before he plays international cricket again. The most disappointing aspect has been his lack of improvement. It's been disappointing to see no real development in him since that SL series. His action clearly needs lot of fine tuning but looks like no work has been done on that front yet.

yes. if he had been England, he would have been bowling with changed action by now. He needs to come more side on and and a bit round arm as his front on action is not able to put pace behind the ball.

Don't know why Umesh Yadav is ignored for this tour and Mithun was selected instead. Yadav had surprised many with his pace in IPL-4 too, though went for runs but it happens to most in T20s. We have only three potential fast bowlers for tests which must be groomed and given enough chances appropriately that is Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron, and Sudeep Tyagi. Other than these, i do not see any up coming potential good bowler right now. Two more pacers: Pawan Suyal, a left arm pacer from Delhi, I have not seen him, so cannot say anything about him. I have not yet seen Rahul Shukla too, 20 year old pacer from Jharkhand.
