desi pride 1234 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I was hoping that mithun will hit good pace and more swing, but he bowled at 80 mph most of the time and looked very unimpressive. i think he is athletic and hardworking lad, but somehow the results are pretty poor. looks like both the karnataka boys vinay and mithun are not international products.

Pace alone doesnt make a big difference and he is not express either. He is around 140 mark and that helps the ball to come on to the bat and if he is not consistent with line and length which he usually isnt , he will go for runs.

Ram Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I like for the fact that he’s an unbelievably honest trier. He will give it his everything, all day and all night. But I am disappointed that he’s nowhere near as good as he was billed to be. But I’d still keep the guy around in the fringes.

He is around 140 mark and that helps the ball to come on to the bat and if he is not consistent with line and length which he usually isnt ' date=' he will go for runs.[/quote'] look that was his first series and was not actually carted around. most of the indian bowlers are carted around in ODIs, even Ishant, but it does not mean he cannot be successful in tests. if we can give chances to Unadkat, Vinay, and Mithun, why not him...he is not worse than them. He has some more ingredients to be a pacer rather than these guys and he did swing the ball at pace in one of the IPL game on a good sporting track when even Morgan found him difficult. we need to give bowlers enough chances with Indian who has the ingredients of fast bowlers, like pace and good bowling action and develop from their. Aaron and Yadav both have these things going for them. Yadav is not just 140, he can bowl high 140s.
