Sehwag1830 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 We all know Chennai wickets are the flattest in the country . Chennai track bullies Vijay, Badrinath, Mukund top the batting chat in the Ranji trophy by batting on flat tracks and get in Indian team. Badrinath, Mukund and Vijay are worst player to represent India. They should restrict to IPL. Just watch them failing even in 3rd innings of the test match.

Is your problem to do with the fact that these players are from CSK or is it from the fact that there are better options than these 3 mentioned. If your answer is 1 then answer is self explanatory if it is 2 please expand on your thoughts.
achilles Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 The never-ending thread Part 2. Some uncomfortable questions must not be asked.
ganeshran Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Too many CSK players in the side. Lets drop Dhoni
achilles Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 ^ Smart argument to prove yourself right and justify regionalism. Ganesh, I thought you were above all this. @Sehwag 1830...don't worry all these Rasam factory workers will keep failing & eventually Chica will be gone too...:cantstop: When does the term end?

achilles Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 By suggesting a thing like that the captain should be dropped, for someone questioned the right of the CSK players to be picked over players like Ajinkya Rahane.

Selectors try out different players at different times. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesnt. How many CSK players played in the World cup? Ashwin played one match. Raina played only after justifying his place by solid performances
cowboysfan Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 TN batsmen are really suspect,we should take their average with a bag of salt.there is no doubt about their inflated averages batting on those pattas.
vvvslaxman Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Mukund is yet to play a single game in IPL if i am right. Also Vijay became a test opener before he established himself as an IPL contender. Are you saying TN players or CSK players. If you are talking about TN, Dinesh karthik did well as an opener in England.

Uthappa is a victim of the same too, although he's not as consistent as Rayudu can be.
cowboysfan Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 i would welcome back karthik with open arms for England if sehwag is not fit,he may not get a big score but he is capable.I cannot say the same for VJ and badri. The jury is still out on Mukund.

Vijay, Mukund, Kohli, Dhoni. 4 of the 7 have failed in every innings.

Karthik would be a good choice over the "He scorez 100 in IPL, ZOMG" Vijay. But seems like he's seriously rubbed the selectors the wrong way. Or maybe Dhoni doesn't like competition? For they pick Saha and Parthiv over KKD. Its like picking Afridi over Sachin.

You want him out. Kohli is not a CSK player. M Vijay has been our first choice reserve opener for a while. Mukund earned his spot through consistent performance. Your theory has no real substance.
Pagalpanti Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 This is one of the worst thing IPL has done. Prior to this series Vijay had been our backup opener and had always done excellent whenever brought in. He fails and you bring in the CSK angle, why not bring in the DD angle, Kohli has failed so far.

Raina played only after justifying his place by solid performances Dude, like I have said consistently, this is like the past where selectors from Bombay kept selecting players from Bombay to represent India, over good players from the South. Now that South has its man at the helm, they are returning the favour. And in this situation, it is the player that suffers, no matter which side of the country he's from.
