Just that we don't think beating England in England is a big deal as England hasn't won a series against us for years. It is like Bangladesh fan chest thumping before anyone tours there.:cantstop: Biggest question you should ask is.. which tailender from India is going to score a 100 this time. Kumble, Aggy have done it. This time possibly Sreesanth will score a 100.

We shouldn't really worry, we've always done well in England, even when our batting hasn't been so strong. Like in 2002, and we've dealt with a much better attack like Steyn,Morkel who are leaps and bounds ahead of Anderson (Englands premier bowler) we needn't worry much about this tour. And pitches in England are much flatter than in SA.
expoking Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 India haven't lost a Test series to England for 15 years and in that series India lost the first test when Tendulkar was a one man show, in the next test Dravid and Ganguly made their debuts and England couldn't get past them. So ever since Tendulkar's 'help' arrived India have never lost a series to England and only lost one test. India should be confident in their batsmen once again.

And pitches in England are much flatter than in SA. Anderson is as good as anyone when bowling in home conditions and Tremlett will be a massive threat. He bowled well against India in 2007 and has definitely improved since then. Too many people on this forum are not giving England enough respect. It will be a very tough series. If Sehwag is injured for the 1st couple of tests then i think England may have the upper hand in terms of batting as the likes of Trott, Cook and Bell are in outstanding form while Eoin Morgan and KP are both very talented players. What worries me about Indian batting is that Gambhir may take an innings or two to adapt to the conditions, if Sehwag is not fit the other opener will be a weak link. Dravid has played well in the Windies but he always seems to give the other team a chance early in his innings and i am still not convinced by Raina against the short ball.
