However, India's first choice seam attack of Zaheer, Sreesanth and Ishant is pretty good though and I would rate it higher than England's.

Now lets move on to.....Varun Aaron who is so quick that his first class average is 38.48, yes 38.48 You mad? Did you see his list A average?it is 17 umesh yadav fc average is low but list a high.

Unless they replicate it consistently or do it in intl cricket it doesn't matter. All I know is that earlier VRV Singh was touted as "one of the fastest" bowlers and he barely touched 130 kph when I saw him bowl at intl level. Now Mithun was supposed to be fast and "lively" and he was bowling at 78 mph against WI! Sorry but my experience with upcoming Indian pacers is tinged with disappointment to put it mildly. As for Umesh Yadav he may have bowled a one-off delivery at 150 kph but for majority of the times in IPL he was barely around 140 kph mark. OH it means...you did not watch SA tour in 2006 where VRV was quick...he was wayward...he was unlucky at times...troubled SA batsmen and beaten them for pace quite a few times, was consistently in 140s. I still remember one of his spells in Abu Dhabi in an A teams tournament in 2006 or 2007 if I remember where he tormented UAE team completely with his pacey yorkers and bouncers along with RP Singh and skitteled them around 70 in a one day game. Even our main bowlers could have never done this to a minnow team. He was certainly quick at that time, but it was his injuries which lead to his downfall later. Yadav was consistently in low to high 140s in IPL which is good enough pace and both Aaron and Yadav has not got many chances yet at international level. They will get their chances. Be optimistic. I am very hopeful that these guys will certainly deliver for Team India in time to come.

Mithun is very young.Zaheer & Praveen are not out & out quick but they are effective & highly skilled.Zaheer is no.5 in test rankings.

In fact they are slower than Srinath in 90s and Nehra in early 2000s (in 2003 world cup he clocked 149 or 150 kph). As for Yadav last I watched him bowl his speed was around 140 kph and as for Aaron, he hasn't even played intl cricket yet. However, India's first choice trio of Zaheer, Sreesanth and Ishant are definitely one of the better ones going around. SA hasn't got a trio coz Tsotsobe is a medium pacer.Pakistan has a Gul & a Riaz but where is the 3 rd one???Eng bowlers are not faster than Indians.Anderson averages abt 83-84mph,Finn is 85mph bowler,Tremlett is a medium-fast bowler if u watch him closely,Bresnan is not test class.Only Broad matches our Trio in terms of pace.I admit at this point of time Aussie bowlers are bit faster but in test there isn't any Lee,Tait or Nannes for them but they've lots of young fast bowlers coming up.Test regular Hilfy,Bollinger,Mitchell,Siddle & Harris are on par with Ishant,Umesh & Aaron in terms of speed.We aslo have lots of talents like Tyagi,Abu nechim,Sreesanth etc to back it up.

It is RIDICULOUS to suggest that Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron are better than all English bowlers. In fact it is one of the worst cricket claims i have ever heard. If the boot had been on the other foot and Serani had claimed that a young english batsman like James Taylor was better than the likes of Gambhir, Raina and Kohli we would have ridiculed him. We have some one-eyed and utterly clueless Indian fans on this forum.

We have some one-eyed and utterly clueless Indian fans on this forum.[/quote'] Umesh & Aaron are very young & this thread is about the pace they bowl with.Both havn't played test cricket.I haven't claimed that they are better than Anderson,Tremlett & Broad but certainly faster.Time will tell if they are better or not & don't give me that biased sh*t.It's more relevant with Serani.
