I usually go to watch India's practice sessions before the test. Anyone else going?
May reach Taunton on saturday only. I am not sure Missus will give the permission.

Even Arjun Tendulkar is training in England under the best batting coach on earth.
I heard the coach has every shot in the book plus many self invented and perfected ones.:hmmm: can you confirm this fact please?

June 17, 2011 Posted by Akhila Ranganna 2 weeks, 6 days ago in Miscellaneous Tendulkar on top of the world On May 22 this year, former New Zealand wicketkeeper Adam Parore became the first international cricketer to reach the summit of Mount Everest. But did you know that Sachin Tendulkar had beaten him to the top of the world’s highest peak by two days? Well, his poster certainly did. Haryana's Narinder Singh, a staunch Tendulkar fan, had vowed to honour his idol should India win the World Cup. India lifted the trophy at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on April 2 and on April 16, Pawan Grewal, who hails from Bhiwani in Haryana, handed Tendulkar's poster to Singh who was at the Everest base camp. Armed with the motivation to see Tendulkar on the summit, Singh battled a leakage in his oxygen cylinder, and made the final push to reach his goal without the cylinder. Having fulfilled his wish, Singh reportedly remained on the summit for an hour without the cylinder. “Sachin is my inspiration and that only kept me moving even when I was without an oxygen cylinder," Narinder told the Hindustan Times. “Hopefully, I will be presenting my photograph, holding Sachin's poster on the summit, to the Master.” http://blogs.espncricinfo.com/thebuzz/archives/2011/06/tendulkar_on_top_of_the_world.php

18-year-old girl bowls to Tendulkar

Chasing a ton of international tons, Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar warmed up on the eve of the historic Lord’s Test by facing an 18-year-old girl from north London here on Wednesday Ahead of the first Test between world number one India and third ranked England at the hallowed Lord’s, the venue for the 2000th match, milestone man Tendulkar faced Raveena Lakhtaria, an A-level student and a young cricketer, who plays for Middlesex and the England women’s academy. The champion batsman is an honorary life member of the MCC, a status which entitles him to ask for the club’s help with his preparations for the England tour. Lakhtaria is on an MCC young cricketer’s scholarship and her ambition is to play for England, but given her Indian roots, she has only one hero: Sachin Tendulkar. “Bowling to a master has boosted my confidence. Now I have done that I feel I can bowl at anybody without any fear whatsoever,†Lakhtaria was quoted as saying by The Telegraph. Lakhtaria, from Northwood, has just finished her A-levels and hopes to go on tour with the England academy this winter. She first met Tendulkar last year when he saw her bowling in the nets at Lord’s and asked her to join him. This year their paths crossed again and she spent the afternoon bowling at him. “It was great to be bowling at him and he gave me a lot of tips,†she said. “He told me about how to bowl when the wicket is not helping, what to do if it is spinning a lot, when to use the shiny side and it was really good to have someone like that giving me advice. It was a great experience and I am very lucky.â€

:hysterical: When I saw the headline, I was wondering why Broad bowled to Tendulkar.
Was the pun intended? :cantstop::cantstop::cantstop::cantstop:
