There is a natural divide of cultures, and the insecurities and mistrust amongst themselves is seen as discrimination. Ganga, Sarwan or Chanders couldn't survive as captains, but Sammy does. Gayle is celebrated more.

Never heard of Rohan Kallicharan. Is he a cross between Allvin Kallicharan and Rohan Kanhai? Must have been an awesome player in that case.

Interesting read. Apalling, if true, that Kallicharan and Rohan Kanhai dont find a mention in Fire in Babylon. Both were tremendous players and specially Kanhai would be considered as an all-time great capable of making it to West Indies XI

Mr.Alvin Kalicharan is still playing cricket in UK. Just as recent as a month ago he scored sublime 60 odd runs in a club game. At the age he is now, he still is a fantastic cricketer. Unfortunately he can't quite get into coaching because the cricket establishments around the world want the old timers to go through coaching levels to be able to coach. Alvin Kalicharan is a top bloke. This is my personal experience I'm speaking about.
