But in '98 around this time, Sachin's batting was in a different class. He was just toying with the bowlers who were also in their prime !

Number Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 241 vs aus in sydney , I think it still goes unnoticed by many people that he got his first 100 runs in the on-side during this inning and only 10% of total 241 were from off side , because throughout that series he was getting dismissed while playing in off-side. this inning is still a big inspiration for me.

This was mental control at its best. Even the Australians talk high about this century. For me though, the best innings he played did not result in a century. :winky:

He'd played the captain on the deck of the titanic before, but this innings has always stuck with me for the quality of the attack he faced and the way he played.... The MCG is a big ground, he made it feel small that day...
