Is our batting over rated?

Didn't you read?I am talking about players produced by England.I am not talking about someone who celebrates with South Africa after their win against New Zealand.
I just ignore your childish comments about where they came from. We have many Indians here who play cricket and I am sure it wont be long before some are good enough to play for either England or India. As most Indian families living in England still support India, who do you think they will want to play for? Of course then it will be different I am sure:haha:

Both are not English.and england boast of county cricket.
 Stop talking about origin of players yaar. You are overdoing it. There is no use of pointing it out every now and then. Everyone knows it.

They are both a product of county cricket, its not like they played SA domestic and england gave them a call up. KP played for Cannock in the Birmingham League when he was 17 years old, these players should be thankful to england.

I was actually going to write "why does our great batting line give up 20 wickets so often on flat pitches" as the topic headline but that was too long.

You really have no idea. Your the kind of person that thinks Prior and Strauss are south africans despite the fact they have lived in england since they were children. And when Ben Stokes plays for england in the near future you will say he is a kiwi just because he was born there. Really cant blame england for having a high standard of living that people are after.

Never talked about Strauss and Prior before....

It wasn't exactly a batting paradise to bat on, being a bowler down and not bowling well on day one pretty much setup their win.

You say that, yet we have huge amounts of Indian immigrant families here and most support India at tests as do their children.

Yeh on this board the same people that have moved to foreign lands for better opportunities have it in them to criticise englands selection policy, is a joke.

What he said is true. Many Indians live here as their country of residence and raise their families, yet support India. One would think that as they are benefiting from our society that they would support our country.

Just like the English who live in Spain and Australia and still support England.

I have to agree with you that he is no Tendulkar. I think he might score more runs than that though. I think he will fix the fault and be a good player but not exceptional like Tendulkar. Trott on the otherhand has the ability and mindset to be a great
Trott don't have that aura. He can score massive scores, but he still don't make me go 'wow'. Sorry. KP does.

If anything we are underrated...Despite Having 2 of the highest run-getters in history of the game 4 players in the top 25 run getters of all time in tests Tied spot for most triple hundreds 122 hundreds among 4 of our players If some of us still beleive we are a weak squad then we are underrating our batting
