Does Stuart Broad remind you of Sir Garfield Sobers?

This is the limit :cantstop: And I was amazed when some lunatic compared him to Hadlee earlier this week somewhere in the internet world :winky:

Well he hits the ball very cleanly. Seems to be turning into a good all rounder for England. As always guys like Botham and Boycott get an orgasm every time an Englishman does something decent, so that hyperbole comparison is to be expected.

Geoffrey compared Stuarts batting to Sobers as far back as 2008 I remember' date=' he must know having seen Sobers bat quite a bit.[/quote'] technique is very well possible indeed, but for batting genius and greatness, no left hander comes close to sobers, arguably the greatest left handed batsmen with the likes of pollock and Lara behind him on that list!

To be fair to Boycott he made the comment in passing years ago and quickly said that Broad doesn't have the raw talent to be anywhere near as good as Sobers, but just some of the shots he played reminded of Boycott of Sobers. That's all.

Prior to the last 1.5 tests he was so awful and had such bad figures he was on the verge of being dropped, but a week later he is being compared to a great all rounder. Just shows the retarded and ignorant attention span of people in today's internet world.

boycotts point about bhajju is spot on
I think he was being really harsh on bhaji. Given that he bowled only one over in the morning spell,it was too early to make such a statement. In this case, boycott was way overboard in his comments.

Broad reminds me of the great Sir Agggyy! May have an Adelaide or Headingley type moment but will never perform consistently on the big stage. Never!

I am sure some resident experts will agree with Boycott and even go on to say Broad is much greater than Sobers because Sobers played in the amateur era and Broad in the jet setting professional era.:winky:

This whole English media & former English players are nothing but bunch of trolls. They can't see any good in the Indian team which is far superior than them in the rankings & also in the ground but they hype abt their team like insane.Their 2 openers are average compared to our Viru & Gauti.Trott is like Hussey who is bound to fade away in couple of years.Pieterson & Bell are good but there is no comparison with our middle order where Wall,God & VVS bats.Raina is far better than that "Irish club-level cricketer".Prior & MSD are even & our bowling attack is also pretty even with them with Zak,Sree,Ishu & PK.Bhajji is going through a lean patch so at this moment Swann is better.Overall our best XI is better by a long way than their best XI.I've just one thing to say that Boycott is an annoying oldman who just can't see the Indian team without a jaundiced eye.Sunny bhai needs to give him something back or else that mad old man will rate Bresnan as good as Kallis:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
