Trichromatic Posted July 30, 2011 Author Posted July 30, 2011 No. He has said time and again, that he doesn't agrees with the "predictive element" of H/E.. EVen in his recent interviews.. What is his problem? He ahs only few years at the most to play.. Why he is screwing it up for young Indian players? M is another one who is on record, against the predictive element. Are feking first try to stay in the crease and bat for sometime and try to do well for India, then think of predictive elements etc. Dickhead.. I'm not questioning why some technology is not in place. I'm asking why such stupid rules were made for currently available and used technologies. This review system doesn't make sense at all.
achilles Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Dhoni doesn't like it. Sachin doesn't like it. Reason enough to not have it. Oh ya, England get majority of their wickets in LBWs, so maybe someone wanted epic muftkhori at England's cost.
Trichromatic Posted July 30, 2011 Author Posted July 30, 2011 Please check the first post. The thread is not about Hawk-eye. Do not bring Hawk-eye in the discussion.
CrazyCric Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 However the DRS used in the England-India series will be without the Hawk-Eye ball-tracker which means line decisions for lbw appeals cannot be referred. For example, if the ball pitches outside leg stump and the batsman is given out lbw, the lack of ball-tracking technology means he cannot question the decision. On the other hand, if a batsman is given out lbw and he thinks there is an inside-edge involved, he can get the decision reviewed since Hot Spot can resolve whether there is an edge. Why the hell didn't Bhaji review that LBW?

asterix Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Also from cricinfo http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/current/story/520913.html Somebody tell this to that FAT CAT, always dozing off, going to the bank, laughing Coach Fletcher so that he can make some efforts to actaully advice something useful and constructive to this bunch of rockstars..
Trichromatic Posted July 30, 2011 Author Posted July 30, 2011 Also from cricinfo http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/current/story/520913.html That's an old article. http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-india-2011/content/story/523933.html Read this. It seems that you haven't been following this series.
Gotham Cronie Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 We dont need Ball tracking' date=' all we need is a rule where DRS can be asked for anything by batsmen if it is a howler..[/quote'] Who decides if it's a howler or not?
urbestfriend Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Who decides if it's a howler or not? A LBW howler is generally inside-edge/bat-pad decisions..SO its the batsman who should ask for reviews in case he has edged one and given out LBW wrongly..
darkknight Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I think ICC wanted to punish BCCI by asking umpires to give horrible decisions so that DRS will be implemented by BCCI. Its a conspiracy.
wobblydoggy Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I totally expected this thread :winky: Yeah, but you thought I would be starting it with a'You should have gone for the DRS heading:haha:
Blue Panther Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Umpire Erasmus wanted to get back at india after pk's behaviour. Its human nature to take revenge.:winky:

Agree A simple review like one for a catch would have shown he inside edged that. It is that easy and once politics gets involved that complicated

wobblydoggy Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 What about Swann then' date=' is he gonna get a prize?[/quote'] No but after Dravid and Yuvraj abused him, he is kinda walking a bit funny:haha:
Blue Panther Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 What about Swann then' date=' is he gonna get a prize?[/quote'] Yes, he kicked the stumps and placed the bails back on to the stumps. Erasmus was pleased that he didnt have to do that.:winky:
ravsdh Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Harsha is asking same question..Why can't we use normal camera's for eliminating howlers in LBW...Yes' date=' BCCI opposed ball-tracking but ICC made it very confusing by not allowing referrals to LBWs.[/quote'] theres a very simple reason for why no element of an lbw can be referred imagine a batsman is given not out/out. the person who that decision goes against would have to get clarification from the umpire as to what was the exact reason for that decision being made, i,e, going over, nick etc. only then could they refer it to get hotspot to show they nicked it so basically they did it so that umpires cdnt be questioned after every appeal
