England question Hotspot accuracy

Because Snicko did not show an edge and the replays showed the bat hitting the pad.
The snicko had wobbled twice, once very minutely and secondly very sharply. The 2nd time was the one which was related to the bat hitting the pad. I am pretty sure that this had happened.

Nah' date=' KP clearly wasn't out. Let's be fair.[/quote'] Hey, even I want the cricket to be fair. I am not someone who rides into the emotional tides while India'd playing. I did feel that the snicko had waved a wee bit. But sine I have no evidence to back that up, so I would keep quiet now.:two_thumbs_up:

Now, Michael vaughan is accusing Laxman for using vaseline on the edge of the bat. How would India know about this little loop hole when they are using hot spot technology for the first time

The possibility of batsmen having the knack to outsmart technology is one thing, and accusing a player like VVS of doing just that is another. Not to mention Strauss (or was it Broad?) copping a feel of his bat and not finding anything there. They're all grasping at straws. The English were, are, and always will be self-serving little pussies whenever nothing suits their purpose. They were the ones who were in fact all gung-ho about using Hotspot and other technologies in cricket, and now they're trying to diss its efficacy just because things didn't go their way.

Snicko is not perfect and the replays were inconclusive. Same as with the Laxman case.

How would India know about this little loop hole when they are using hot spot technology for the first time[/quote'] There is a background to that tweet. This issue has been debated for the past few months in England and Vaughan has been part of it. It is not about Laxman specifically. International batsmen have admitted using it. It's pretty well-known now.

Granted, but that doesn't give them a leeway of sorts to go the whole nine yards and question a player's ethics, especially when there's no proof of it and when the bowler himself has stated there was no such thing.

I don't care what Vaughan has been "part of" which discussion, he has no right to take pot shots on one of the stalwarts of Indian cricket who has has totally unblemished career so far. There's no need to defend whatever these English ex-players balbber.. Why he didn't raised this issue when few England batsmen got the benefit of same technical glitch?

What rubbish. One minute he says this:
VaughanCricket Michael Vaughan Has Vaseline on the outside edge saved the day for Laxman???
If that isn't instigation, I don't know what is. Did he really think he wouldn't be subject to a barrage of retorts after saying such bullsh*t? What an irresponsible thing to say sans any proof whatsoever. It's become a huge deal now only because VVS has always been a very honest chap. And after he rightly got his due, he states:
Friends from India.. I didn't accuse VVS of using Vaseline.. And even if Batsman do its not cheating..know rules saying you can't..
What an a**wipe. How dumb does he think people are?

VaughanCricket Michael Vaughan @DGoughie Just woke up to barrage of abuse from India...What are they going to be like when they lose this Test?
:cantstop: What a sore little tw*t.

^ Maybe he was "part of it" and discussed it with his moronic gang.. It's not his fault.. :dontknow: These Engllish twats are sound more and more like our freind WobblyDoogy, as if it'll be a BIG DEAL if England wins..
