It's a shame that a powerful batting line up like us couldn't score 300 in 4 innings in better batting conditions. Hopefully we will fight back. We need to win at least one Test, otherwise it will be a disgrace.

SL had **** bowling attacks and still managed to save face except for an unusual choke. :winky: SL bowling lost Murali, Vass and Malinga. Thats a whole lot more important that Gambi, Sehwag and khan. The only one who really would have mattered slightly is Sehwag and he wasnt all that great on the swinging tracks of England. SL lost arguably the greatest bowler ever( statisitically), the deadliest bowler who can swing the game in one over and Vass who is on par with Khan. :hysterical: Just admit your time as number 1 is over and get down to where you belong:haha: Yeah, SL was better than us. Ind was totally outplayed by Eng. But, we'll be back soon. SL can never ascend to no1 in tests, never, not in our life time. Thats the difference mate, quality. Hope we manage to do that its pathetic that we are thinking like this. if we lose this series, we dont deserve the no 1 ranking, period imagine if we had racked up so many home wins that we could have lost 3-0 in SA and 4-0 here and still remain number 1 do u actually think we would be a real number 1 with that scenario? i find it laughable how indian 'fans' say 'well if we lose 2-1 we may still be able to be number 1' pathetic

Maundy Gregory Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 who the hell has a fake no1 ranking? it is approved by the ICC. india got more than a few bad decisions in the two matches. otherwise 300+ scores were easily on cards. why they're not using DRS for LBWs is beyond me. some conspiracy... 300+ scores were never on the cards for India, at the moment they don't have a strong enough batting line-up. As for the DRS, it was India who vetoed it (well, it was Tendu really), so I don't know what the complaint is. Likewise, India has been the ones benefitting from favourable decisions and England have had a few injury problems with Tremlett and Trott. Imagine if things started to go England's way and they could field their strongest team!!!! :omg:
