deepak_sach Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Who is the allrounder whom you think must play for India? Iqbal Abdulla has an average of 36 with the bat and 28 with the ball in FC cricket...... He could be a better allrounder than Jadeja..... I do not see anyone else in India as an allrounder... Dont talk about yusuf pathan .I am talking about test cricket.
nsareen Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Definately, Iqbal Abdulla, Ravindra jadeja , R Ashwin. All of them have quality in some aspect of the game. I feel Abdulla & Ashwin to be better Bowling Allrounders. But Ravindra is a better Batting Allrounder. I feel india needs a BOWLING ALLROUNDER, than a Batting Allrounder.

GrassHoppers Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Contrary to popular belief Yusuf Pathan will be our answer to our All rounder. He'll be like another Sehwag coming in at No.8 and will take the game away from the opposition in no time. He's our next big thing.
Trichromatic Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 What's exactly the role of Abdulla? Don't call bits and pieces players (Jadeja) as all-rounders. India needs a batting all-rounder or a bowling all-rounder. We don't need a player who can take 2 wickets in 5 innings and score a half-century in 2-3 matches. Such players can work only in ODIs. It would be worst day for Indian cricket if Jadeja gets into test side based on his current situation. I'm not too sure about Abdulla. I have seen him only in IPL. I don't know whether he is a good spinner for test matches.
saneindian Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 deepak IIRC you are 17 years old. Start playing cricket seriously, in 5 years time we may have our all rounder ready :)

phaedrus Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 lets get bastmen who can play on all conditions first. or bowlers who are consistant. all rounders toh dur ki baat hai
GrassHoppers Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Haters gonna hate, he just needs some opportunity and exposure and then watch him pulverize the opposition in to submission. Sir Yusuf Viv Pathan :hatsoff:
pinkfreud Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Sir Yusuf Viv Pathan :hatsoff: Wow. *pinches myself to check if I'm reading right* Seriously?

Ponka Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 You already have Dhoni as a bowling allrounder :hahaha:
Sachinism Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 There are none. Everyone knows India have always lacked an all-rounder. I'm sure a lot of players aimed to be all-rounders, but none of them could achieve it .
amiret Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 we already have some all-rounders. People who can't bat or bowl.
Cricket Tragic Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Contrary to popular belief Yusuf Pathan will be our answer to our All rounder. He'll be like another Sehwag coming in at No.8 and will take the game away from the opposition in no time. He's our next big thing. :cantstop:

If we are looking for test all-rounders then we don't have anyone even in domestic circle. Better way of getting decent all-rounder for tests is to improve batting of genuine bowlers rather than trying people whose batting and bowling both is below average.
rkt.india Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Best seamign alrounder in domestic cricket is Sumit Narwal.
