Tiger80 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 whats with 120 - 140 km/h? can't vary so much. But if he can touch 140 on indian pitches at 19' date=' he is someone to watch out for in the 2-3 yrs time ahead. Maybe we get another one like Munaf, but this time around with pace :)[/quote'] Yes but the question is whether he is really 19 or 19 is his paper age .
rkt.india Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 Yes but the question is whether he is really 19 or 19 is his paper age . Yes that is a big problem in subcontinent. Our players are young on paper but not really. Who can say Praveen Kumar and Munaf Patel are only 24 and 27 respectively in real. They do not look like. Look at Dhoni, he is 30 on paper, he must be more 1-2 years older in real. I can see in local more players over 20 play U19 level cricket. Players who are actually 19 play U17 level state cricket. My younger brother himself played U17 state level when he was actually 19-20. This is the reality.

Lord Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I'd rather have a bowler who will take wickets than who can just bowl fast. At Test and international level you need the ability to take wickets not just bowl fast coz if you can't take wickets' date=' the faster you bowl the faster you will be sent to the ropes[/quote'] agree.obsession is pace is not good.we need to see other things too
