I think my dog got a hold of her. 2. Kitchen set - not that it's made me a great cook now, but I can make a mean bowl of Maggi noodles. 3. Parcheesi, snakes and ladders, chinese checkers, chess, cards 4. Not really a toy, but an artist kit which had oil pastels, paints, color pencils, and an easel - spent a lot of time nurturing my artistic skills.
akshayxyz Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 ^^ good one. I was not getting words for that.. I did that a lot in grandparents' village. in open fields and streets.. the cycle rim was easier to maneuver, I am sure you would know. and I am surprised no one mentioned marbles, kites yet.

I used to make them from raddi paper and sticks picked out from the broom without moms knowledge ofcourse ... great days .. which are now lost forever :(( .. today I have enough money to buy these things for my entire neighbourhood but saala khelene ka mindset nahin hai nor there is time. What cruel irony :(( I can relate to all that and more... feels lucky to have experienced such contrasting lives..but yes those are some memories which are lost forever, it seems. akshayxyz Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Well the beauty to control and maneuver moving cycle rim was to use a scale or a stick :two_thumbs_up: also playing marbles' date= flying kites...bare foot in the streets of Bangalore..was simply awesome...my fav childhood days :(( smooth as butter, after that you wud never want to see that tyre again...:two_thumbs_up:.. I like this place.. never imagined I would be discussing this on a cricket forum :)..

I never understood that. Can more than one person play? Another 'toy' I played a lot with: Funskool's plasticine. I've made phones, TVs, caps, snakes, guns and many other things which no one else could identify.

I've made phones, TVs, caps, snakes, guns and many other things which no one else could identify. ......unlike playing with dolls where the only goal is to make the doll appear creepier by the day and finally decapitate it. :headshake:

What cruel irony :(( nice, done all that. :D tire rollin, marbles, and ofcourse kite-flying. Reminds me of a friend who used to collect all the kites after they were cut. Had a huge collection of 100+ kites. But the funny thing is whenever he filed the kite on his terrace, he only used to fly it very low so that someone else doesn't cut his kite. lol
