jairamesh Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 we need to hire somebody to injure dravid. put this sick little puppy out of his misery. he is so ****ing useless but wont leave unless someone punches him in the face. gambhir should be dropped for bad form. laxman is going the same way. dhoni is incapable of playing test cricket, neither is kohli. sehwag and tendulkar are the only ones scoring... I m in the anti-dravid camp. Dravid and laxman are acting selfish for personal self worth. Dravid and Llaxman should have dropped before the west indies series in June, and forced into retirement.
Septimius Severus Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Burgey must be happy that GautG got a 3 ball duck today. Indian players have a habit of refusing to retire when they have too. They continue to play through massive slumps in form ( Kumble Kapil and The Colonel etc.). The Indian middle order looks like following that.
Sooda Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 bumpski Gunna told you bump this didnt he :P He told me , but I couldnt find it! Could not find anything by him as his a/c is deleted
Sooda Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Sehwag at 5 for me, bring Rahane in for VVSL to open and Rohit for Dravid. Maybe not here on this tour, as it would be very unfair on them. But for the next test series Rahane, Gambhir, Pujara, SRT, Sehwag, Rohit, MSD, Ashwin, Praveen, Umesh, ZK If GG needs a break Mukund can open, he was dropped harshly anyway. Mukund, Kohli,Varun, Ojha

I like Sehwag dropping down to middle order though as he simply doesnt have the technique to play new ball tough away conditions.Maybe Mukund for Gambhir if he continues to struggle with the bat. Rahane ROhit Kohli and Pujara all them should be given complete assurance of their place and blooded into the team. Gambhir Rahane Pujara Sehwag Rohit Kohli Dhoni Ashwin Ohja / Praveen Zak Umesh. With our bowling attack i dont see anyone beating us in home conditions. So next two years are the best time to give time to all these youngsters experience before going into tough tours of SA NZL and Eng.

prashsenga Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I have a feeling that for VVS this will be his last tour. the selectors might already have told him and he should be announcing his retirement by the end of this test. so he will get to play the last two tests irrespective of how he bats..Lets hope he derives some inspiration from that and bats well.. RD would retire by end of england series. i know many people are cross with him , but i guess he has looked the most solid player outside india. sachin.. he looks good for the most part and age does not seem to be catching up with him.. so i will leave the decision to GOD.. i am Dravid camp and not sachin camp..:two_thumbs_up: GG would have to be dropped. mostlikely we would lose this test embarassingly unless GG pulls a stunner which is unlikely. he looks like sujith somasunder facing the South africans during titan cup. Rohit would most prolly get a game in next test. Dhoni would definitely be under pressure to back up gauti. Mukund would come in next series replacing laxman and then pujara would come replacing dravid and depending on sachin's decision or sehwag's carefree suicide's on the cricket field rahane could replace one of them. I would like to see badrinath in the middle order but knowing his luck, he might be the next amol mazumdar.:nervous::nervous:
The Realist Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Changes need to happen and heads need to roll. The batting has been consistently awful for over a year and people have to stop living in the past. A football manager would have got sacked already for the performances and results that India are displaying especially overseas – they show lack of hunger and no fighting spirit. Need to start building for the future now and that means hard decisions have to be taken.

Yeah... or even Open with Mukund and Rahane and play GG at no 3.
BERGKAMP Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 The stench of staleness and complacency stinks in this team. Heads need to roll. Some big guns need to be told in no uncertain terms, 'thanks for the memories but you are now a burden on the team and it is time to go'.
akshayxyz Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Lot of bump worthy material here ( including this :) ) At least two of the 3 biggies will make it happen. SRT looks in good touch, couple of decent starts at the top and these should be back to business. batting hope order - SRT >Sehwag >Dravid >Laxman >Rohit (must get at least 2 matches) > Kohli > Ishant ~ Ashwin >ZK ....VK > Gambhir
ViruRulez Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Whatever team we build hope that we do not build a FTB team. Yes, I never said it but now I have to say that we are a ***ing FTB team as of now. The world's so called strongest batting lineup crumbling in Aus and Eng is simply unacceptable. That too when we are in our prime whereas Aus are not in their prime and are a rebuilding team. To be honest, the so called world beater team of ours is doing nothing than demolishing oppositions especially like WI, SL and NZ at home and nothing else. We are sucking infront of Aus and Eng. If SA were not chokers themselves then we would probably have sucked against them too. So, the only country we do OK is SA as they kick their own butts most of the time rather than us doing so. At least, we used to give competition to Aussies and Eng in the 90s and early 2000s but it seems worse than that. In fact, our current batting is worse in those conditions compared to the Ganguly's and Azhar's teams. Many called Ganguly an FTB but he was far better than these ***ing best batsmen and scored at least fifties and also centuries at times. These so called world's best batsmen with tremendous technique are scoring tens and twenties instead. Probably even pure FTBs like YP and Raina would have scored better than them. To be honest, I want only the best batsmen in ALL CONDITIONS especially in Aus and UK to be there if ever we create a new team. And if the current form continues, then we can give the 2015 WC a miss instead of facing shame in front of the world.

Our ODI teams will continue to do well.
akshayxyz Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 ^@179 Easier said than done. Unless we have bouncy/pacy pitches at home, this problem of one-type-track bully will be there forever - barring few exceptional talent here and there.
