Seriously! Team India is down abhi and this phase will pass soon ! Was this team winning every test series before IPL was introduced?
U dont get it....& maybe u r not seeing it LIVE. Agreed India was not winning everything before IPL...but 3rd Test in a row...or lets make it 6th Test in a row...Indian team have played very very poor cricket. If u see....players dont look interested/dont really care/repeat the same mistake/unfit. eg...Munaf Patel has been in the team from the WI tour...& as I have read...he's been unfit whole WI tour...& only recently played the last 2 day 1st class game in Eng. How in the hell selectors can justify such a spectator. Heck...he turned out to be bigger one then Harbhajan. Also players that took break from IPL to rest...they did just that. REST...& become unfit. Zaheer...broken, Sachin....probably will play the ODI games...to get into groove for champion league.

Too much cricket is making Indian cricketers bored and is driving them to easy cricket like IPL.. The priorities has changed..On top of that you have players unfit (postponing rehabilitation, recuperation and essential surgery etc.). There are very talented young players who can do well in test scene if they are groomed properly and be focussed. But there are sidekick players, players who do well in IPL to get lucerative Advertisement contracts and then based on their Advertisement contracts, get a good chance to make it to the Indian team, mainly because Advertising mafia will not like to put money on large number of players. They'll like to have their 'candidates' play in most of the formats so that it gives them more 'returns' of their 'investment'..

Difference between IPL and other tournaments is IPL is pretty much unmissable for players . They are in a 'must play' situation coz of money. Other tournaments you can play if you are fit. Or else you can always sit out.

Because of IPL...India have suffered. T20 WCs where we were exhausted & how this. What I dont understand how & why non of the players grow a pair & ask atleast 2 weeks off from the IPL. Dont they make SOOOOOOO much or is that they are like our corrupt polititions....ever more greedy

IPL is not the problem. Its the tortuous schedule. Cricketers need to be given some free time
What abt giving them 3 weeks off during IPL time. That should give them enough rest. How about...say..Dhoni skipping upcoming Champion league...or for that matter...Sachin asking BCCI & MI not to consider him for the CL so that he can rest & spend some time with his family & prepare for upcoming Test series against WI & Aus.

England are a good side but they are over-rated. A Pakistan side full of fixers and missing the likes of Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf (2 Tests) and Misbah Ul Haq managed to win a test against them. India's batsmen have been under-prepared. I knew India's bowling would struggle apart from Zak but he is injured but the real dissapointment is the batsmen and injuries have played there part but IPL effected the injuries. Solution> You can't get rid of IPL, Too much money but shorten the tournament down.

You must be joking.. The Advertising Mafia will kill BCCI goons.. BCCI has taken advance money from the broadcasting and Advertising mafia..They cannot go back on their words..

We are giving emotional response to the losses. Tournaments like the IPL mean a lot of money for cricketers and keeps our players honest. It also attracts more people playing the game and contributes to the power and clout of the board which is much more useful to Indian cricket than what appears at first glance The problem is we expect too much from the IPL. It is not going to give us test class players. The best it will produce are T20 specialists and maybe ODI level players. The solution is not to ban IPL. But adjust the international calendar to give players enough rest. Case in Point: The padosi players - they had one of the most talented bowling line ups last year. Didnt play in IPL, had a fairly relaxed schedule. Yet didnt win much and the players fixed and lost matches. The IPL is not a contributor to India's disastrous run this tour, we actually were number one for quite some time with players playing IPL, its more to do with players being stretched to the limit.

IPL is not an issue. It is the attitude that mattered. Zak took whole seried off to be rested for the England test. We all know what happened after first 13 overs. I think, the Indian side has lost its motivation after the WC win. They need a disaster like this to wake them up. WC win is great but it is over. You cannot stay in the past.

Ofcourse every indian fan is hurting seeing this pathetic performance, per hota hai !! Arey my point is you say teams playing real poor poor cricket.. we have played very very poor cricket before IPL too.. so what did people blame it on before? and about 'they not interested/they dont care'.. they wanna win as much as you want them to! Ya i just stopped watching live, because it obviously is annoying and out of frustration I dont wanna end up making topics blaming IPL and haircuts for losing the series :giggle: j/k
