Then treat this as a "nostalgic" series. Just like some teams wear throwback unis once in a while our team decided to put in throwback performance from 90s :--D

I dont see how we can rebuild a quality test team given the current realities in Indian cricket. There are always better times mate, you will have to believe that. Opportunity opens up for Pujara who's more in the test match mould. There will be couple other guys that will lift their hand up and settle in. I have had a good look at some of the young cricketers the way they are groomed in India and personally I think India will continue to produce good cricketers in the years to come. This could just be a blip, it happens though. Collectively the players have failed, they aren't thinking the way they used to in the past. In the past when they headed out of India they were expected to lose but not anymore and this has made their job harder. That said English cricket has hit purpule patch and no doubt they are way ahead of India in the bowling department. They aren't bad batters either and they have a good wicket keeper that also bats quite well. They have the receipe to be a top team and at times we need to fail to improve. There is no way in the world all teams can continue to always win. This happened to Aussies as well in this decade. You will need to believe there are always better times to come and enjoy whatever is left of some of the legends in the Indian cricket team. I think they have done very well for quite some time and their failing although is a concern should not overshadow their achievements.

I tried , but wasnt of much help. i came home early at 8:00 PM , dint switch the TV on ...that has never happened before with a cricket match going on , let alone a high profile test series like this involving India.

KP , Trott & swann are world class ..Bell & Broad have potential ..the rest are avg to above avg ..over all they are very good side at best .

Actually since 2001 we have been used to India atleast fighting back in every series.........it has been a long time since we have been steamrolled like this....... I too dint switched on the TV.....just asked kitne wicket........thats it..........the losses dont hurt......how we are being beated is hurting more..........and the bastard englishmen like Vaughan are rubbing it in.

PK has only had half decent support from ishant at times here and definitely in the Windies. But he still keeps doing the same thing again and again. 25 odd batsmen from the West Indies to England in different playing conditions found him near impossible to get away for easy runs or more than 3 or so runs an over. Is he perfect? Hell no. But he's EASILY done the job that Bhajji or more experienced bowlers should have done: Take 2/3 wickets an innings and keep things tight. That's the perfect definition of a first change bowler. Now we just need a good new ball partnership. Ishant maybe, but with who?
