rkt.india Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I found this video today and I was amazed after watching this. Look at Brett Lee here. This video is of 1997. 2 years before Lee's international debut. He was 23 when he debuted in tests, must be 21 in this match. His bowling action looks very different, not much pace too, looks around 135, and 2 years later, he was bowling 150 against India in his debut test. What turn around. Our Aaron is too is 21 and has already bowled at 150. It shows it is not very easy to bowl at that pace at such a young age. msb1991 Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Haha. 135kph, are you serious. That is clearly quick stuff.
Rightarmfast Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Its not 135 but its not 150+ either I think. He still looks fast to me.
IKnowU Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 He got faster as he built his body. He was pretty lean in the video, plus his action got much more simpler. Most fearful fast bowler in the past decade imo
rkt.india Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 Haha. 135kph' date=' are you serious. That is clearly quick stuff.[/quote'] I do no think he looks very quick here. He is looking fast medium between 135-140 odd, bu the increased pace in 2 years.

Rahul Dravid Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 are u trying to say Aaron can touch 175 in 2 years :haha:
rkt.india Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 Watch this. 2 years later debuted in 1999 against India. Two very different styles and quicker pace wise too. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8G5dh-f_4I]Brett Lee vs India MCG debut test ball by ball for 30 mins - YouTube[/ame]

rkt.india Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 are u trying to say Aaron can touch 175 in 2 years :haha: not really:--D
IKnowU Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Not sure if he was the most fearful. He certainly was excellent. He always had the pace, bounce and occasional swing. But most importantly he was more intimidating to the batsmen then bowlers like Akhtar, Steyn etc. I guess the Australia as a whole played a part, but the way he ran in and delivered those thunderbolts was a sight to watch You could sense a wicket any ball when he was on song.

akshayxyz Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 are u trying to say Aaron can touch 175 in 2 years :haha: That would be cool.. if there is some bowler who is 20-30 KMPH faster than rest of the crowd.. does not have to be Indian.
Moncy Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 :adore: Brett Lee is one of the best fast bowlers!!!! :adore:
koolkarts Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Brett was still bowling fast in that first video! First few balls were probably early 80s, but after that it looked like 90mph at least! He changed his action because he ruptured his spine because of counter rotation. His upper body was slingy, while his feet were landing front on, damaging his spine. He had to remodel his action and make his upper body front on.
Hell Raiser Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 are u trying to say Aaron can touch 175 in 2 years :haha: Naa. That pace category is reserved for one and only ATUL SHARMA. Fastest bowler on this planet.
Robelinda Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I also have a full match from 1997 where he bowled against South Africa A, 4 day match. FAST.
