I think he is an excellent batsman but best in the world was a huge claim. I still think he has issues with scoring runs in tough situations (he has improved from his early days). He generally scores after the likes of Trott and Cook have given England a solid platform (he has played a couple of good innings, 1 in South Africa and in Perth).

It must have come as a horrible surprise to Bell to face this Pakistan spin trio! He was lucky he didnt play in England when we had our pace duo too....otherwise we would have exposed him against pace and not just spin :P That said I dont mind Bell..but im glad he failed against us!

I agree on his technique. Its close to perfect. But only that can not make him best batsman. We have to watch him for more time and see how consistent he will be. we have to judge him against best bowlers. One thing I have noticed he plays well when previous batsman has already played well and given good start. What do you all think?
