Deleted_User_1 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 probably for the next few years with this pathetic and rapid slide. The emotional scars from this tour will haunt the fans and the players for sometime. This is not going to be a case of a bad nightmare and once you wake up it is all OK. India is going to be reeling from this for a LONG time. This is ASSS RAPE of the worst kind. I think the problem Indian cricket faces will dwarf any other team's problems. If BCCI does not take corrective action now, they will be forced to take action sometime in the future when the situation is even more dire. Also I am willing to bet we will get a thrashing in the ODI series as well. A bunch of the players getting raped in the tests will be playing the ODIs and with Zak, UV (not that he will of much help) and Bhajji out the bowling will be hit all over the park.
Utalk Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 OTT. ODI format will suit Indians and they will compete. Next test series in Aus big guns will score on true hard wickets against an average attack and things will be back to normal.

vayuu1 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 It willbe a very tough ODI series for India. To be honest this was bound to happen, infact during india's tour of africa i said that india needs to work on its bench strength, especially there bowling , cause if u want to be competitive u need good bowling unit ,but now i feel indian cricket need major changes ,especially at administrative and domestic levels, there should be contact between international setup, domestic and junior setup.
jairamesh Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 second that, OTT, To be honest I thought the Saffer tour we will get walloped exposing our bowling attack. Infact it was going to come at some point. But neverthless hanging onto No. 1 is harder than getting there under current rankings. For ardent Test followers it might scar them, but for majority of Indian arm chair viewers one-day still rules the roost, that goes for all sub-continent teams. Even when we were number no.1 our stadiums were never full except in some metropolitans. I don't about you, but many will just shrug and move on. PS: My darkest cricketing moment was still and is 2007 World Cup exit, that defeat against SL still riles me up with disgust.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Not really as we are and will remain World Champions for 4 years - no greater bragging rights than that And if India manages to beat Aus in Aus later this year, we would be fine.
Temujin Khaghan Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 how many threads will people open on this topic.
