I used to feel the same, then I used one. (and then i bought one). Android is fantastic for the phone, but not for tablets. Honeycomb has a lot of issues, and no apps. Nobody is counting out Android, but its not there yet.. for the tablet market atleast. As for the go to the news website and you cant watch the videos.. wtf are you on about dawg.. Please go to the nearest apple store.. get on an ipad, go to cnn/bbc/or any other news site you want to and try playing a video. It will play. Because like I said earlier, most sites have different versions for the idevices. So with the ipad, you will get the full pc website (not the mobile version), AND the vids will play. I dont understand why you would want to write ****/lies about a product you clearly havent used. you should use android first and then talk! or use the webOS first and then talk. I am not a hater for one. The apple devices in my household outnumber any other brand of electronics. You want Ipad to come out as the "best" tablet because you own one. I was at bestbuy yesterday. Try to open yahoo.com (as simple as it gets). Both Ipad and android opened the mobile version. Don't run your trap as if you are some tablet wiz Operation wise both Ipod touch and Ipad are the same. The number of Apps are different and maybe some specs but overall it's the same shyt.

Yes, the premier news channels have started coding their own video scripts for Ipads but that doesn't mean all websites will run videos on ipad. It's just limited to some of the stuff.

But who uses metacafe.com.. it is a knockoff off youtube and dailymotion. It is really phenomenal. Better than CNN/BBC also. Even my mom prefers that to the paper edition. Check out CNN's app, BBC's app, NDTV's(with live streaming) apps as well. And then tell me how many of these support honeycomb.

Apple products generally suck. They look glitzy and fancy, but do very little. Apple basically imprisons you by making software solely available through the app store and making downloads available through iTunes. U can't manage any flash because apple has an entire propaganda campaign against it, but the reality is that an iPad just doesn't have the capacity to handle it. You can't download anything externally with it and it has no USB compatibilty and doesn't support multi tasking. It's basically an expensive paper weight. Apple products are garbage.

I never said webOS is better than iOS! stop putting words in my mouth. Why would HP dump it if it was as good or better than the second best OS available right now? It is relevant to the discussion to clear up the fact that I am not a hater of Apple products. In fact, I have a second I pod touch that I pre ordered before it's actual launch. I still use that with the updates and let my brother use the latest one. Operationally, both Ipads and Ipod touch are the same. I stand by this statement. Yes, Ipad has a 100x better screen, it's a lot faster etc. Over all it's more fun using an Ipad but again as I said earlier, there are limitations to what you can do operations wise. These limitations are same for both small and big device. This discussion is not about ipad vs ipod touch although it would be intriguing to prove you wrong. It is a fact that there are better options available as far as tablets are concerned.

Jersey #10 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 don't get me wrong, Ipad 2 is awesome but just not the best thing in the market. That is all I am trying to say. As far as WebOS is concerned, I would buy WebOS for $99 over iOS for $500. I wouldn't buy WebOS for $500 though.

Tell me when Ipad was launched in India and then tell me when the Galaxy 10.1 was launched in India (if it was, i don't know) mind you, all the websites you have pointed out have apps for the android phones. They are obviously not going to make apps for something that hasn't been released in India or has been recently released. It will take time to pick up in India. It's simple economics for these websites to make apps for w/e technology is available in the country. When android tablet owners are available in India, you will see the apps. Having said that, you can always access these Indian sites through the regular browser on androids and WebOS. I don't want to have to go looking for apps for all the websites I want to visit. For me it would be much easier if all the websites were fully available on the regular browser. Multi tasking is a major requirement for my personal use. I refuse to pay 500-600 bucks which is just fancy and not much more than that. CNN - has an app for honeycomb BBC - Has android app but not compatible with honeycomb, they are working on it others - didnt care enough to check for Indian sites. i don't have the need to follow Indian news regulary Do you live in India? just wondering.

That number does not include units sold by retailers Called them this morning and they have some 400,000 units lined up for a final sale. We are talking very close to a million. When I said million...i didn't mean it literally. The point to be made was that "large number" of units are/were sold.
